    Embodying Erotic Power
Healing Our Relationship with Intuition, Feeling, and Self
    Investment: $90
    A live 2-hour experiential training
2 NBCC contact hours. No prior Internal Family Systems (IFS) training required.

In 1978, Audre Lorde named the erotic as a source of power: our capacity to feel deeply, trust what we know, and live from that knowing. She was not writing about sex. She was writing about a way of being fully alive—a relationship with ourselves rooted in feeling, creativity, intuition, and embodied truth. She also wrote about what oppression, trauma, and survival ask us to abandon in order to belong.

Many helping professionals know this disconnection intimately.

Our training often rewards thinking over sensing, certainty over curiosity, and productivity over presence. Over time, many of us learn to question our intuition, override the wisdom of our bodies, and mistake numbness for professionalism.

This workshop is an invitation to return.

Together, we will explore the erotic as Lorde intended it: a source of life force, embodied knowing, creativity, and inner authority. We will examine the ways trauma, oppression, and protective strategies can distance us from our intuition, our feelings, and ourselves, and consider what becomes possible when we begin listening again.

Grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, and the writings of Black feminist scholars and poets, participants will be introduced to a compassionate framework for understanding the parts of ourselves that learned to distrust feeling. No previous IFS experience is required.

Through reflection, poetry, guided experiential practices, journaling, and discussion, participants will explore how reconnecting with the body's wisdom can strengthen intuition, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

As we reconnect with our own embodied knowing, we naturally begin to show up differently—in our work, our relationships, our leadership, and our communities. We listen more deeply. We trust ourselves more fully. We make decisions from alignment rather than fear. We remember that the quality of our presence is one of the greatest gifts we bring to every space we enter. Come with curiosity, leave more connected to your Self.
