    • Who can attend this camp?
    • Skaters aged 6 to adult, at all levels from Aspire Synchro to high-performance athletes. Coaches of any experience level are also welcome.

Our North American camps have been attended by skaters and coaches from Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Finland, and Turkey, not to mention - across the USA and Canada. We are proud to welcome skaters from everywhere!

    • How are athletes grouped?
    • FAQ:

      - Is this an overnight camp?
No, this is not an overnight camp. Camp participants must be signed in and out by their parent/guardian each day. We have a discounted rate at a nearby hotel which participants can book after registering (last year's hotel rate was $159/night for a private room for 2-4 people)

      - Who will this year's headline coach be?
We always bring in an International, world-class synchronized skating coach to lead our camps. We are not ready to announce this year's coach yet, however our past headline coaches have included Kaisa Arrateig (Rockettes, FIN), Anu Oksanen (Marigold IceUnity, FIN), Marilyn Langlois (Les Suprêmes, CAN), Siiri Eskeliinen (Dream Edges, FIN), & Eeva Sunnari (ISU Development Coach, FIN), and at camps outside the USA, Josh Babb (Skyliners, USA), & Heather Paige (Starlights, USA).

      - Who is this camp for?
Our camps aim to be as inclusive as possible, welcoming individuals and groups of skaters and coaches from various teams, countries, and skating backgrounds (including those who are not current synchro skaters/coaches, but are interested in learning about / trying the sport). If you meet the criteria for the camp groups offered at this camp (age, team level or skating-skill level), we hope you join us!

      - What will I learn at the camp?
The on-ice curriculum includes a breakdown of synchro elements at each level, as well as drills for developing skating skills (edges, turns, twizzles, hops, slides), synchro fundamentals (tracking, traveling, matching), and synchro "tricks" (field moves, pair moves, spins). We round out our ice sessions with off-ice classes that build complimentary skills, like dance/movement, theatre/performance, flexibility/field moves, lift mechanics, educational seminars, etc. Our former instructors include Kaetlyn Osmond, Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro, Sam Chouinard, Rohene Ward, Carlotta Edwards, Paula Wagener, Chelsea Ridley (Hip Hop Ice Queen), Kseniya Ponomaryova, just to name a few!

      - I read that there are Team USA and Team Canada skaters at camp. What is that all about?
We know how impactful it can be to skate with your idols, and see things demonstrated live from top-level skaters. That's why we bring current and former Senior National Team athletes to assist on and off the ice at camp (and sometimes top Junior skaters too!). Not only do they offer elite leadership, but they act as mentors throughout the weekend, answering questions, providing motivation and offering perspective to skaters on their own unique journeys. They are so friendly and fun to skate with, and their "you-can-do-it" mentality is contagious!

      - I have passed my preliminary skating test and skate on a pre-juvenile team. Should I sign up for the Regular Camp or Development Camp?
Either option should be suitable for your skating level; choose your preference, or contact camps@oneteammvmt.org and we will be happy to discuss your unique case.

      - I have passed my pre-bronze skating test and skate on a Preliminary team. Should I sign up for the Regular Camp or Development Camp?
Either option should be suitable for your skating level; choose your preference, or contact camps@oneteammvmt.org and we will be happy to discuss your unique case.

      - What is OneTeamMVMT?

OneTeamMVMT is a Canadian-registered not-for-profit organization that serves and supports the global synchronized skating community. Since 2016, we have been uniting the synchro community and developing resources and programs to further the sport toward Olympic inclusion, while promoting awareness to make "what is synchro" a question of the past. As synchro enthusiasts ourselves, we are constantly monitoring the needs of the synchro world to understand what we can do as an organization to assist and elevate the sport. Above all, we believe that we are stronger when working together, and can achieve more for our sport when we combine our efforts and passion, and work as "One Team.
