  • CHILD PROTECTION PLAN ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Freedom International Christian Training Center is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of all children, youth, and vulnerable individuals participating in our programs. The Church has established a Child Protection Plan (CPP) to provide a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all participants, staff members, and volunteers.

By volunteering at FCY Winter Camp 2026, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

    1. Receipt and Understanding

I acknowledge that I have received or been provided access to the Church's Child Protection Plan (CPP), which outlines the policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding child safety, appropriate conduct, and abuse prevention. I agree to read, understand, and comply with these policies.

    2. Reporting Suspected Abuse

I understand that, under Church policy, all volunteers are required to promptly report any known or reasonably suspected child abuse or neglect, regardless of whether they are classified as mandated reporters under California law.

I understand that any legally required report must be made directly to the appropriate authorities in accordance with California's Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (Penal Code §§ 11164–11174.3). Reporting concerns to Church leadership does not replace any legal reporting obligation.

    3. Compliance with Church Policies

I agree to follow all child protection policies, safety procedures, and instructions established by Freedom International Christian Training Center. I understand that failure to comply with these policies may result in my removal from volunteer duties.

    4. Policy Updates

I understand that the Church may revise or update its Child Protection Plan. I agree to review and comply with any updated policies communicated to me during my volunteer service.

    5. Questions and Concerns

I understand that I should consult with the Church's Human Resources Department and/or Youth Ministry Leadership if I have any questions or concerns regarding the Child Protection Plan, its policies, procedures, or my responsibilities as a volunteer.

    6. Acknowledgment and Agreement

I confirm that I am at least 18 years old, have read and understood this acknowledgment, and agree to comply with the Church's Child Protection Plan throughout my volunteer service.

First Aid Authorization: I authorize trained camp personnel to administer appropriate first aid when reasonably necessary.

Acknowledgment & Agreement: I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age and have carefully read and understood this Medical Release and Emergency Treatment Authorization. • Leader/Volunteer Code of Conduct and Youth Rules

    CODE OF CONDUCT

As a Group Leader or Volunteer attending FCY Camp, I will:

    • Keep Jesus at the center. Leading is a way for others to see Jesus in me. I’ll keep Jesus at the center of FCY Camp 2026 by making sure everything I do honors Him.
    • Respect others. I can glorify God through how I treat people. I’ll show respect to everyone around me, including staff, other leaders, volunteers, and youth through what I do and what I say.
    • Be a good steward. I don’t want to take anything for granted. I’ll take care of all facilities, vehicles, and properties. I will leave every location better than I found it.
    • Set an example. Youth are watching me. I’ll be a positive role model for others to follow.
    • Bring the energy. I want youth to have a positive experience. I’ll do my best to bring energy and fun to create a positive environment that helps youth grow closer to Jesus.
    • Be proactive. Youth need guidelines (see below for the rules youth are being asked to adhere to). I’ll set clear expectations for my group so they can stay safe.
    • Engage. FCY Camp 2026 is about our youth. I’ll make sure youth have my attention and interest by listening, responding, and limiting distractions (e.g., texting, hanging out with other leaders, surfing social media, etc.).

    YOUTH RULES
Leaders/Volunteers, just so you’re aware, these are the rules youth are being asked to adhere to:

    • Listen: Obey leaders and staff at all times.
    • Bullying: Bullying will not be tolerated. This includes any attempt to harm, intimidate, isolate, or force someone to do something.
    • Substances: No drugs, tobacco, vapes, Juuls, or alcohol. Bags will be checked at initial check-in. (If youth take any kind of prescription medication, make sure it is packed in a clear baggy with a doctor’s note explaining why the youth needs that medication.)
    • Clothing: No inappropriate clothing. This includes clothing with logos, phrases, or graphics that contain profanity or sexual/offensive content. Shorts, shirts, and bathing suits that are revealing are also not allowed.
    • Weapons: No weapons (including pocket knives) are permitted.
    • Contact: No inappropriate displays of affection with other youth. (This includes but is not limited to kissing or any kind of sexual activity.)
    • Behavior: Stealing, lying, fighting, and other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
