2026 Olde Golden Holiday Parade Application Form

We’re excited to invite you to apply to be part of our 2026 OLDE GOLDEN HOLIDAYS PARADE! This beloved tradition celebrates the warmth, community spirit, and festive joy that make our town feel like home during the holiday season.

How to Join the Parade:

If you, your business or organization, or a group of fun-loving friends would like to be a part of this year’s parade, we’d love for you to apply! Whether it’s a float, a walking group, or any creative way to show your holiday cheer, all applications are welcome.

BEFORE you complete this parade application:
1. Read the 2026 OGH Parade Rules & Regulations (please note, this document contains multiple pages, please use arrows at the bottom of the screen to read through all pages)

2. Who will be the primary contact for your group (you? Someone else?). Have their contact info handy as it will be included in this application.

3. Be prepared to include a 2-3 sentence description about your business/organization that will be read by parade emcees.

NEW Theme! Western Winter Wonderland is coming to Golden!
The Olde Golden Holidays Parade is bringing back our themed parade tradition for 2026! This year’s theme is Western Winter Wonderland – and we want YOU to bring it to life! Think snowy frontier towns, festive cowboys and cowgirls, western flair, horses, wagons, snowflakes, and plenty of holiday spirit. Put our creative spin on the Wild West and make Golden’s holiday parade a true Western Winter Wonderland! Please note: no pistols or weapons, and no Santas. Two winners will
be crowned: a Judge’s Favorite and a People’s Choice Award – so saddle up, get creative and join the fun!

Important Information:

Event Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026
Start Time: 10:30am (parade staging/check-in begins at 8:30am)
Location: 10th to 13th Streets along Washington Avenue
Entry Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2026

Parade Application Guidelines:

Space is limited! Selection criteria is based on the information provided in this application and that your entry aligns with the mission and vision of OGH as a family event.
This form is an APPLICATION and NOT a guarantee of acceptance. Applicants will be emailed to confirm whether their entry is accepted or denied on Monday, November 16. Entries not accepted will be refunded their parade fee.
The Parade Fee is $35 per entry, regardless of nonprofit or organizational status. All entries are required to pay the $35 fee.

Each parade entrant will certify that all authorized vehicles are covered by liability insurance as provided by Colorado law. By entering your name below, you certify that you have liability insurance for any vehicle entered into the Olde Golden Holidays Parade.

**Equestrian Entries will have additional insurance requirements and contacted individually.

MANDATORY PARADE SAFETY MEETING: To insure everyone's safety and to provide opportunity for all selected participants to review the rules and ask questions, a MANDATORY safety meeting will be held via Zoom. Each accepted entry must have one representative attend. The same material will be covered in both meetings. Please indicate which meeting you will be attending:

As the appointed representative of the above named entity, I hereby release the Golden Chamber of Commerce, City of Golden, Golden Welcome Center, and all members of the Olde Golden Holidays Committee from liability, either direct or implied, from any accidents or damages that might occur. We understand and agree that the Olde Golden Holidays committee has the right to remove any entry from the parade for any inappropriate display or behavior by any participant and, upon signing, agree to abide by all rules and conditions of participation.

We have limited Holiday Parade sponsorships available! For just $500, there are several sponsor benefits! You can have your company name and logo with the opening parade sign, your company name and logo on the Golden Chamber website and you will receive social media acknowledgement as well. In addition, your parade entry is complimentary and your company will be mentioned as a sponsor during the parade.
