1. The agent picked you.
The agent put your company on the Star Team because of the work you have done, before anyone spoke to you about money. No company buys its way onto it, and none ever will — which is the whole reason a buyer pays attention to it.
2. What you get.
- Your company advertised on your Local Nexstar News Website and across the Nexstar Audience Network, under the agent’s photograph and recommendation — the “I know a guy” ads.
- About 10,000 impressions a month, in the ZIP codes you and the agent choose.
- Your own page on (Your Area Code)StarList.com — one link you can text straight to a customer.
- A live dashboard: what ran, who looked, who tapped through to you.
- Every ad we build for you, in every size the network takes. You do not lift a finger.
3. How people actually get to your page.
Five ways — and you are only paying for one of them.
- The agent sends it to people directly. The agent has a tool that lets them text or email your page straight to a client, a neighbour, or a friend, with their recommendation attached. That is the highest-converting referral there is, and it now takes them ten seconds instead of a phone call.
- The agent posts it. Your page goes out on the agent’s social channels — the same recommendation they already give verbally, except this one links somewhere and gets counted.
- You send it. One link that is yours: text it to a past customer, drop it in a quote you are chasing, print it on the bottom of your invoices.
- Your 10,000 ads a month on News10.com and across the Nexstar network click straight through to it.
- And so does every other vendor’s advertising on the agent’s list. Every ad on that list lands on the same set of people the agent recommends — including you.
That last one is the part worth reading twice. A full list is twenty companies running 10,000 impressions each — two hundred thousand impressions a month pointing at a page you are on, and you paid for ten thousand of them. Every vendor the agent adds after you makes your seat worth more, at no extra cost to you.
4. You are the only one of your trade on it.
The next roofer, plumber, or electrician who calls us about the agent gets told no. That exclusivity is the thing you are actually buying, and it holds for as long as you are on the list.
5. It is a real recommendation, not a sponsorship.
The ad says the agent recommends you because the agent does. If that ever stops being true, the ads come down, and we stop billing you that month — no argument, no notice period.
That cuts both ways, and it is the point: an endorsement that cannot be withdrawn is not worth having.
6. What it costs.
$299 to build it. $299 a month after that. The same two numbers for every company in every category on every list — the roofer pays what the lender pays. No tiers, no volume deals, nothing to negotiate.
The build fee is charged when you sign. The monthly fee does not start until your ad is actually running, which is usually about a week later.
7. Nobody on this list paid the agent to be on it.
Not you, not the plumber, not the electrician. Every dollar comes to us, and none of it ever reaches the agent or the agent’s brokerage — which is precisely why a homeowner takes the agent’s list seriously and why yours is worth being on.
It also means nobody can outbid you for your spot. If anyone ever suggests otherwise, call us.
8. We build it. You approve it.
We write it, design it, and place it, so that signing this is genuinely the only work you have to do. To save you hunting for files, you are letting us use your name, your logo, and pictures of your work — including what is already on your website, your trucks, and your listings.
Nothing with your name on it runs until you have seen it and said yes. If we picked a bad photo, tell us, and we will change it.
9. What we need from you, and when.
To sign: nothing but your signature. Before the ad runs, we will need your licence and insurance details, your service area, and the phone number you want ringing — and we will come and collect all of it when we bring you the creative.
One thing we do hold you to: answer the phone. The agent’s name is on that ad, and a call that goes unreturned costs the agent more than it costs you.
10. The fine print, in plain English.
Your work is your own. We are advertising you, not vouching for any particular job — your licensing, your insurance and your liability stay yours, as they would with any advertising you buy.
And we sell advertising, not promises. We will report impressions, page visits and taps honestly, and we will not guarantee you jobs or revenue. Anybody who does is not speaking for us.
11. Getting out.
Thirty days’ notice, either way. No term, no exit fee, no auto-renewal trap. Your ads come down at the end of the month you have paid for, and your trade category opens back up to somebody else the day after.
