OVERVIEW
Join us as we sit zazen together and explore the Diamond Sutra in an integrated intensive.
This great teaching gently loosens the fixed views we carry, even our ideas about practice itself. Its oft-quoted line, "Give rise to a mind that abides nowhere," points straight to the groundless ground of zazen, where nothing needs to be held and nothing is excluded. Sitting together long enough for the sutra to do its quiet work, we may find that nothing stands between us and our own lives, and this intimacy is the heart of practice.
Over our time together will be periods of zazen, dharma talks, practice discussion, and time to meet one another.
An integrated intensive weaves concentrated practice into ordinary life. This time we've adjusted the shape a little. We'll begin with two full days of zazen over the weekend. Then, through the week, we'll bookend our days with practice: zazen each morning, and sitting and a dharma activity each evening, with work, family, and everything else in between. The intensive closes on Friday evening. We hope you'll join us.
