🎉 Excitement is in the air! Come support Samuel Wilk's senior project and the Summerville Bears Baseball program in partnership with the Bears Boosters Club. We will have a fun filled day of competition, with the winners of each division taking home the first ever Bears Baseball Pickleball Tournament trophy! 🎉
Despite what the flier advertises, we have dropped the price from $50 a person to $50 a team.
*Location*
This years tournament will be held at the YSF courts in Standard! 18501 Striker Ct, Sonora, CA 95370
We ask that everyone signs up to their correct skill level bracket, as we are offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced divisions. If you need any help with deciding your skill level, or are struggling to get signed up, please feel free to reach out to Samuel via email (samuelwilk26@gmail.com) or text at (209) 770-7610.
All proceeds will be in support of our local high school baseball team, and will be used for necessary equipment, and repairs to the baseball field. Every sign up helps, and on top of that, you get a chance to compete in an awesome event!
Each team will be guaranteed three games during their division's designated play time. These will be round robin play, and the top eight teams will continue on to a quarter final bracket style tournament. The elite eight from each bracket will be decided by record, then if records are tied, points allowed. Each game will be played to eleven, win by two. The tournament will follow PPA guideline rules, and remember, give your opponent the benefit of the doubt. Friendly competition is welcome and encouraged, but anything said or done deemed inconsiderate and unsportsmanlike by the host will result in immediate removal from the venue without refund.
*This is a DOUBLES only tournament* please have a partner of the same, or similar skill level committed before signing up. If your partner is of higher caliber than you, please sign up for the skill bracket that would best fit your partner. Please do not sandbag, as it ruins the competition aspect for all other teams in the division.
We ask that everyone who does sign up for this tournament has a good understanding of the rules. We want competition to move at a decent rate, so teams don't have to sit for long periods of time. Constant explanation of the rules hinders pace of play. And remember, you are playing at your own risk. Also, please make sure to arrive at the courts at least 15 minutes prior to your skill divisions scheduled start time.
There are NO REFUNDS. All purchases are final, however if you can not make it to the tournament after registering you can give your spot to a waitlister. This can be coordinated by contacting Samuel.
Thank you for supporting this event, and mark your calendars, because you can't miss this!
