By signing this release, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks, dangers, and hazards associated with skiing and/or snowboarding and all related activities and events, year-round, including fundraising activities and events as a member or guest of the Skaneateles Ski Club ("Ski Club") and/or Skaneateles Ski Hill ("the Ski Hill") at, during, or in connection with any such activity or event (collectively known as "Ski Club Activities"). With full knowledge of such hazards and risks, I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers, hazards, whether known or unknown, whether anticipated or unanticipated, including but not limited to the possibility of personal injury, property damage and/or loss resulting therefrom, both personally and on behalf of any spouse, child(ren), and/or dependents of mine.

I agree that I alone am responsible for my and my child(ren)'s safety while engaged in Ski Club Activities and/or present at Ski Club facilities (including the Ski Hill) during Ski Club Activities, and/or while participating in competitive events and/or training for competitive events, and for providing, utilizing, and maintaining equipment necessary for the safe enjoyment and participation in such activities and events. I hereby acknowledge that the Ski Club, its members, directors, officers, employees, and volunteers are not responsible for my safety in relation to Ski Club Activities. I, my family, my children, my dependents, my spouse and/or heirs and assigns agree to release the Ski Club, its successors, assigns, members, instructors, employees, volunteers, officers, and directors from liability for any loss, harm, damage, expense or injury that I or my child(ren) may suffer, arising out of or resulting from (a) my or my child(ren)'s participation in or observance of Ski Club Activities, (b) use of or presence on/at Ski Club facilities, including the Ski Hill, (c) travel beyond or outside the Ski Club property, due to any cause whatsoever, even where such loss, damage, expense or injury arises out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Skaneateles Ski Club, its successors, assigns, members, instructors, employees, officers and directors from and against any and all liability or damages resulting from or arising out of my, my child(ren)'s or my spouse's use of or presence on (or at) Ski Club facilities, including Skaneateles Ski Hill, or participation in (or attendance at) Ski Club Activities at Ski Club facilities and/or the Skaneateles Ski Hill.

  • Volunteer Commitment & Member Resources

  • Our $171,000 operating budget tells only part of the story. Members contribute more than $100,000 in volunteer labor and donated services every year—the equivalent of more than $667 per membership group in avoided annual operating costs. Without that support, we could not close the gap needed to keep membership affordable and the Hill operating.

The Ski Hill is a member-supported organization, and we strongly encourage every membership group to support the Hill by volunteering, making a financial contribution, or both. Participation is not a requirement of membership, but member involvement is essential to keeping the Hill running.

  • How does your membership group plan to support the Hill this season?*
  • Review committee descriptions before selecting your interests.

  • Where would your membership group be most interested in helping? Select all that apply.
  • *Operational Leads are trained members who serve as the primary point person at the Hill during operational hours on the (2) days during the season that they are assigned. They help ensure the Hill operates smoothly by supporting lift staff, assisting members and guests, addressing routine operational issues, and contacting the appropriate Board member when additional guidance is needed. Members who commit to the Operational Lead schedule established for the season will receive an Indy Pass in recognition of the additional responsibility. Operational Lead positions require advance training.
  • Skills & Experience

Our members bring a wide range of skills to the Hill. Please tell us about any skills, experience, equipment, or professional services within your membership group that could potentially be helpful to the Club. Checking a box does not commit you to volunteering in that area.

  • Optional Donation to Hill Operations

Gifts of any amount are much appreciated. Contributions support the operating needs of the Hill and are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

  • Season Ski Locker?

No more dragging all those skis, poles, and boots to the lodge to get ready for a day on the slope; leave your ski gear at the hill in our ski lockers! The ski hill will be providing a combination lock for each locker purchased. Purchasing a locker will reserve your spot. Lockers will be assigned once the hill is open for the season. Limited quantity available.
