    Space for 2 to 8 Participants

     

    Over the course of two hours we will explore the basics of Bonsai.  Each participant will learn a brief history of bonsai, how to care for and cultivate their new tree and will take home a bonsai which they create with the club's guidance. This year we will use Junipers, which one of our club members has been growing for the past year. History, cultivation and bonsai design will all be touched on. 

    Each participant will create their own bonsai from the plant material provided. We will prue, wire and style your new tree! Please note that due to the time of year, we will NOT repot your new tree.

  • Atlanta Bonsai Society was founded in 1963.  The club focuses on providing in person bonsai learning opportunities, often lead by professional bonsai educators.  They meet monthly and host various workshops. Atlanta Bonsai Society is run by an amazing set of volunteers.
