Confidence.Community.Creativity
A five-month homeschool theater program where students 5-7 explore storytelling, movement and song while working together to stage a full production of Charlotte's Web with our older homeschool company members. Program starts October 8th and runs through Febraury. We will meet Thursdays 11:00-12:00 with longer rehearsals as we approach our final performance.
Theater is a team sport!
Because our goal is for students to build a community through preparing for a full production, families commit to the entire five-month season. Consistent attendance is essential to the success of the company.
Why choose theater?
Confidence - Children learn to speak clearly, perform in front of others and become comfortable taking risks in a safe, supportive envireonment.
Community - Homeschooling can sometimes make it difficult to find consistent peer communities. This program aims to create just that!
Creativity - In this space children are given a space to create, not just consume!
Academic Connection - Theater naturally incorporates literature, writing, history, art, music, public speaking, collaboration, project management and problem solving.
