Medicine Hat becomes your game board for one haunted night! Gather your team and follow clues to locations throughout the city. Solve riddles, complete challenges, uncover haunted and historic stories, and race against other teams to reach the mysterious final destination. Teams can have up to 10 members. Each team will need a vehicle and at least one fully charged. All ages are welcome but not recommended for ages 10 and under. Doors open at 6:00 Hunt starts at 7:00

HAUNTED MEDICINE HAT CITY-WIDE SCAVENGER HUNT PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK Event Date: October 16, 2026 Start Time: 7:00 PM Presented by: Miller’s Haunted & Historic Tours By registering for and/or participating in the Haunted Medicine Hat City-Wide Scavenger Hunt (“Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the following: 1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk I understand that participation in this Event is voluntary and may involve travelling by vehicle, walking outdoors after dark, crossing streets, navigating sidewalks and public areas, visiting designated locations, encountering uneven surfaces, weather conditions, low visibility, other members of the public, and participating in scavenger hunt activities and challenges. I voluntarily accept and assume the ordinary risks associated with participating in these activities. 2. Vehicle & Driving Responsibility Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation. All drivers must possess a valid driver’s licence, operate a properly registered and insured vehicle, obey all traffic and parking laws, and drive safely at all times. The Event is not a road race. Speeding, reckless driving, distracted driving, illegal parking, or breaking traffic laws to complete clues faster is strictly prohibited. Drivers must not use a mobile phone while operating a vehicle except as permitted by law. Teams should designate another team member to navigate, read clues, and operate phones. Miller’s Haunted & Historic Tours is not responsible for vehicle damage, collisions, parking tickets, traffic violations, towing, fuel costs, or other transportation-related expenses. 3. Personal Safety Participants are responsible for exercising reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of their team. No clue or challenge requires participants to trespass, enter a restricted or unsafe area, climb structures, interfere with traffic, damage property, or place themselves or another person in danger. If an activity or location appears unsafe, participants should not proceed and should contact the Event organizer for clarification at 587-914-6363. 4. Private Property & Public Conduct Participants must respect all private and public property. Participants must not trespass, enter closed buildings or restricted areas, disturb residents or businesses, remove or damage property, or engage in disruptive or unlawful behaviour. Unless specifically instructed otherwise, clues should be solved from publicly accessible areas. 5. Team Participation Teams may consist of no more than 10 members. Each participant is responsible for following all Event rules and instructions. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising minors participating on their team. 6. Alcohol, Cannabis & Impairment Drivers must remain sober and legally capable of operating their vehicle throughout the Event. Participants must not engage in activities that create a danger to themselves, their team, or the public due to alcohol, cannabis, drugs, medication, fatigue, or any other form of impairment. 7. Release of Liability To the extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Miller’s Haunted & Historic Tours, its owner, employees, contractors, volunteers, partners, participating locations, and representatives from claims arising from the ordinary risks inherent in my voluntary participation in the Event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited. I understand that I remain responsible for my own actions and for any loss, damage, injury, or expense resulting from my failure to follow Event instructions, applicable laws, or reasonable safety precautions. 8. Personal Property Participants are responsible for their own belongings, vehicles, phones, equipment, and other personal property during the Event. Miller’s Haunted & Historic Tours is not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged personal property except where required by law. 9. Photos & Video Photographs or video may be taken during the Event for promotional and social media purposes. The registration form will provide participants with the opportunity to indicate whether they consent to identifiable photographs or recordings being used by Miller’s Haunted & Historic Tours for promotional purposes. 10. Emergencies In the event of a medical or other emergency, participants should call 911 when appropriate. Event organizers are not a substitute for police, fire, ambulance, or other emergency services. 11. Electronic Acknowledgement By checking the acknowledgement box and submitting this registration, I confirm that: I have read and understand this Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk. I understand the nature of the Event and voluntarily choose to participate. I agree to follow all Event rules and safety instructions. I understand that participation involves risks that cannot be completely eliminated. I accept responsibility for my own conduct during the Event. If I am registering a minor, I confirm that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian or have the appropriate authority to register the minor and consent to their participation.
