• Outdoor Art Installation Experience

Hickory Cove Nature Preserve | Sunday, October 18, 2026
  • Experience Overview

  • This event is an opportunity to experience Hickory Cove Nature Preserve like never before. The largest artwork in the CANOPY series by Charlotte Marie Isbell will be presented exclusively as an outdoor art installation. For one day only, a portion of the preserve that is ordinarily open to the public will be temporarily transformed into a space for private encounters with the work.

Seated within the trees near the stump circle, on a hand-crafted bench created specifically for this installation, you will find yourself physically situated within the artwork’s environment, with the forest itself becoming the gallery. The experience moves beyond the traditional white-walled gallery: light, weather, sound, scent, texture, time, and your own physical presence become part of the act of viewing.
