Performers in Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to audition on December 11th! This audition form must be submitted by 11:59pm on December 10th. Participation fee of $295 is due prior to auditions. Please fill out one form per performer. Being in a show is a lot of fun here at TDC! Every student, every line, every step, is an important part in making the show come together to create something awesome. It is our sincere hope that your child is here for the experience, and no matter how big or small the part they understand they are a valuable part of the team. *If your child is only interested in a lead role, and plans to quit if not given one, this may not be the best opportunity for them. We conduct a fair and equal audition for everyone! Everyone who auditions will be cast in the show.

Example bio: Samantha is 8 years old and thrilled to be a part of Honk Jr! She previously played the role of Perdita in 101 Dalmatians Kids. Samantha has been dancing since she could walk, and also loves skiing and reading. She has two brothers and a dog named Scout. Samantha would like to thank her family and teachers for all their support, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Performer Conflicts

Rehearsals for Honk Jr will be held on Sundays between 12:00-5:00pm January 3rd through show weekend (April 16-18). Exact schedules will be sent via email, but all performers must be available for all rehearsals.

Auditions

Auditions will be held on Friday, December 11th at The Dance Company. Each performer who is able to audition in person must select a 5 min slot below to attend auditions. There will NOT be a group audition. Cast head shots will be taken at auditions. We ask that you wear a solid colored shirt on audition day for these photos. For audition materials including music and reading passages, please visit our website. Performers are free to leave once their audition is finished.

If you are unable to attend auditions in person, we are happy to accept video auditions. Please email theater@thedancecompanynh.com if you are unable to attend in-person auditions.

We highly recommend that you attend in-person auditions on 12/11.
Agreements
I understand that rehearsals for Honk Jr must be a priority, and that my child cannot be absent. Any absences must be cleared with the director ahead of time. If my performer misses more than two rehearsals they may be removed from scenes.
I understand that if my performer drops out of the show after auditions, a $50 drop fee will be held.
I understand my performer must practice frequently at home to have all of their lines and songs memorized. I understand we should refer to the videos taken during rehearsals posted in the Honk Jr App to review blocking and choreography. This app will be sent to cast members after auditions.
I understand that any questions I have regarding Honk Jr should be sent via email to theater@thedancecompanynh.com, not the TDC office.*
I understand that my performer's head shot will be taken at auditions on December 11th. Please arrive with your hair how you'd like it for the photo, and wearing a solid colored shirt with no writing on it. Makeup is optional.*
