Venue: 1695 Vernon Odem Blvd, Akron, OH 44320 Date: Saturday, September 26th 2026 Time: 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. All proceeds from the food fair will be allocated to help sustain Cleveland Buddhist Vihara and its outreach programs.     Wada. (2 parippu or ulundu wada) Parippu Wada (lentil fritters) and ulundu wada (black split gram fritters) are popular street food and tea-time snacks in Sri Lanka. It is an easy-to-make, savory snack that is also vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and low-carb friendly. Wada is made by soaking yellow split peas/ black split peas, grinding and mixing them with chili flakes, fennel seeds, curry leaves, onions, and salt. The batter is then formed into small flat discs and deep-fried in vegetable oil.
