Class Description:
In this class students will learn the basics of improvisation. We will explore creating characters, scene building, improv games, and more! This class will be a great introduction to the world of improv! This class will also help build confidence and you will learn quick thinking skills that can translate to the real world! Taught by Ansleigh Funk & Tim Pruitt of Take This! F.A.C.T. They have produced, directed, and been in over 200 unique improv shows between the two of them. They both have such a passion for teaching improv and cannot wait to see you in class!
Instructor Bios:
Tim Pruitt - Having produced over 250 shows ranging from improv to stand-up to experimental theatre, Tim is no stranger to the work of creating an entire production from the ground up. Tim has also been an educator of the arts over the last five years, running summer camps for improv, musical exploration, and children with learning differences. As a seasoned performer, director, producer, and educator, Tim is passionate about teaching within the arts.
Ansleigh Funk - An improviser, filmmaker, and producer who has a love for the arts and a passion to share that love. A current bachelor Film student with hopes to pursue a MFA in 2026. She has experience running multiple theatre camps and children’s theatre productions. Through Take This! Ansleigh has gained a variety of skills, including social media and marketing across multiple platforms.
