Catawba River Keepers Floating Classroom and Duke Energy Explorium

FREE for students enrolled in Mrs. Price Tues/Thurs Science class at Stevens Creek. The Floating Classroom program on Lake Norman is an immersive, on-the-water learning experience designed for students of all ages. While aboard the 40’ commercial classroom vessel, students will participate in hands-on scientific activities. Lessons focus on ecology, watershed science, conservation, and environmental stewardship, bringing classroom learning to life in a meaningful and memorable way. This field trip will include 2 hours aboard the River Keepers Floating classroom, an hour long bring-your-own-lunch, and a 2 hour lesson on Energy Production and Matter at The Duke Energy Explorium. It is 9am-2pm, with pick up and dop off at McGuire Nuclear Power Station in Huntersville.
