Off-Campus Adventure - Sandbanks!

Celebrate the end of Orientation Week with a day at one of Ontario's most beautiful beaches! Join us on Saturday, September 12 for an off-campus adventure to Sandbanks Provincial Park, where you'll have the chance to swim, relax on the beach, and take part in fun games like volleyball, cornhole, and more. The bus will depart campus at 10:00 AM and leave Sandbanks at 4:00 PM, with an estimated return to campus at 5:00 PM. Bring your swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, and your own lunch. Registration is only $5/person! Spaces are limited, so register early and get ready for a fun-filled day in the sun!

Assumption of Risk

I understand that by participating in the Event, I will be exposed to risks of loss including financial loss, severe injury, or death. Known risks include, but are not limited to:
• Illness, including exposure to infectious diseases
• Falls due to uneven terrain
• Injuries from contact, collisions, or malfunctioning equipment
• Spinal cord injuries
• Being struck by participants, spectators, equipment, or vehicles
• Vigorous physical exertion
• Bone and muscular injuries
• Burns
• Failure to follow directions
• Theft of personal property

I freely accept and fully assume all risks, dangers, and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage, expense, and other loss resulting from my participation in the Event.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, and Indemnity Agreement

In consideration of the Released Parties allowing me to voluntarily participate in the Event, I agree to:

1. Release and waive any and all claims against the Released Parties for any losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, including death, howsoever arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event.

2. Indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims arising from my participation in the Event.
I hereby consent to any medical care that may be judged necessary in the case of injury, accident, or sickness while participating in this activity.
