Each Marksman Bootcamp requires full commitment from each participant. Please check the dates and frequency above before moving forward with your registration. If you miss any dates of the bootcamp, you will be unable to continue with the bootcamp.
This Marksman Bootcamp is intended for men only who are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of the launch of the bootcamp.

7 Pledges of Character
The following 7 Pledges of Character are intended to hold you accountable to being the best Marksman SWAT leader you can possibly be as a man deserving of having other men follow your example.

As a leader, the Bible says you are held to a higher level of accountability (James 3:1). Please take your leadership seriously and open your heart to the process of sanctification—the process of being made to look more like Jesus each and every day.

The enemy seeks to destroy men and their leadership, and the following 7 Pledges of Character should be viewed as a way to guard your leadership opportunities and your own potential for the future. We cannot expect other men to go down the narrow path in life if we are not willing to be set apart and take the narrow path ourselves.
1. I agree to guard my heart.

As a Marksman SWAT leader, I agree to guard myheart by consistently filling it with God and His Word. I understand it is imperative that leaders who pour into others must also be poured into themselves. In an effort to strategically and consistently fill my own heart, I agree to attend a church service on a regular, weekly basis. If I miss a church service, I will do my best to watch an online service so I do not neglect the refilling of my own heart. I also agree to lead or attend a small group of some sort to allow for continued personal growth. I also agree to spend time engaging with God’s Word on a regular daily basis. “For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34)
2. I agree to guard my eyes.
3. I agree to guard my mouth.

As a Marksman SWAT leader, I agree to refrain fromusing profanity, coarse joking, racist speech, derogatory comments, or other speech that someone may consider to be unChristlike. While this is true while leading other Marksmen, I understand this is also true when I am at work or engaging with others outside of church. I will strive to not only be a godly leader around other Marksmen, but also while around others who may be unaware I am a Christian. I realize I may be the only representative of Jesus someone else encounters. Therefore, I agree to represent Jesus well. “Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.” (Ephesians 5:4)
4. I agree to guard my body.

As a Marksman SWAT leader, I agree to guard my body by avoiding using drugs, drunkenness, or engaging with sexual experiences with anyone other than my own wife if I am married. Furthermore, I agree to avoid pursuing any type of emotional affair with someone other than my own spouse that could lead to a sexual affair. If I am unmarried, I agree to refrain from premarital sex or out-of-marriage sexual encounters of any kind. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
5. I agree to guard my investments.

As a Marksman SWAT leader, I agree to honorGod with my finances and agree to not spend more money than I make. I also agree to trust God with my finances and demonstrate obedience to His commands by consistently tithing 10% of my income to the Kingdom. I will also strive to tithe a portion of my time by serving by discipling men, participating in service projects, or lending a helping hand in other creative ways. “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6)
6. I agree to guard my Marksman brothers.

As a Marksman SWAT leader, I agreeto uphold the greatest respect for my fellow Marksman brothers, SWAT or not. I choose to grant each fellow Marksman SWAT leader the benefit of doubt by not assuming bad intentions of their heart or leadership decisions. I agree to not engage with gossip about any other men behind their backs. I agree that if I have a problem with anyone else, including Pastor Matt, I will do my best to work out my concerns with that person privately one-on-one before bringing any of my concerns to anyone else. I agree to honor the “48-Hour Rule” that allows me to bring up any issue I have with another person within 48 hours, but after 48 hours, I have made the choice to no longer let the problem be an issue. I agree to avoid causing or participating in any dissention, division or slander of other men. I agree to not use Marksman as a recruiting ground for conflicting opportunities that may cause confusion about vision or direction. I agree to honor confidentiality of all men by not sharing information about others that should not be shared. (The only exceptions are when a man discloses potential for self-harm or harm to others.) If you need assistance with how to properly navigate a particularly difficult situation, you may seek advice from other godly council so long as you are actually seeking advice and not merely gossiping. “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart.” (Matthew 12:25 NLT)
7. I agree to guard my reputation.
I agree to each of the 7 SWAT Pledges of Character listed above based on my willful desire to be a leader worth following. If I have not previously been faithful in honoring the pledges as described above, starting with today, I will do my best to honor each commitment. I understand that if I disagree with any of the above pledges or simply ignore them, my own actions (or lack thereof) may disqualify me from Marksman leadership opportunities in the present or future. My signature below is an indication of my desire to be a godly leader in both words and action as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
