    Teaching Children Effectively™ Level 1

  • Teaching Children Effectively (TCE™) Level 1 is designed to offer a fresh approach to evangelizing and teaching children.

    Based on biblical and educational principles, the course provides methods and skills to lead children to Christ and immediately equips believers to begin and sustain a ministry to children where they live.

    Student practicums (guided practices) are a vital part of the instructional procedure which makes TCE a refreshing way to train Christians in child evangelism.

  • Dates: September 13-18, 2026

    Times: 

    • Sunday: 1:30-5:30pm
    • Monday-Friday: 8:30am-4:00pm (ends 3:00pm Friday)

    Location: Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND (2351 W Main St)

    Registration fee: $225 (scholarships and discounts available, contact CEF for details)

    The fee includes the following: 

    • Student manual and curriculum pack
    • Supper (Sunday), Lunch (Monday-Friday)
    • TCE Level 1 Certificate

    Nonrefundable deposit: $50 deposit, due with registration (unless the student is recieving a scholarship) 

    Discount for spouse: Students attending the course with their spouse may share some materials and pay a discounted fee. Contact CEF for details. 

  • Dates: Fridays and Saturdays, Jan 8-9, Jan 22-23, Feb 5-6, Feb 19-20, 2027*

    *Please note: Students will complete 2-3 practicum (guided practice) times with an instructor and at least one other student in between some of the weekends. These practice times allow you to receive feedback on the skills you are learning before using them while teaching kids. Practice times will be set by appointment. Each practice time will meet for approximately 1 hour. More details will be provided by the first class weekend.
