OUR Jewish Home
Rooted in Tradition; Unapologetically YOU
Once a month
Mondays at 7:30pm ET / 4:30 pm PT
September 2026 through May 2027

OUR Jewish Home is an engaging course for couples building a Jewish life together, whether you’re planning a wedding or navigating the first few years of marriage.
Meeting monthly via Zoom (September through May), we explore key aspects of Jewish life and tradition, build a supportive community, and engage in thoughtful conversation about what it means to create a Jewish home that reflects your unique story as a couple.
The program is especially geared toward interfaith and intercultural couples, and is also open to couples who are both Jewish. We are joyously inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
The first session is Monday, September 28, 2026. After that we'll meet one Monday per month through May 2027, at 7:30 pm Eastern.
Session topics include:
- Beyond the Mezuzzah: What Makes a Home Jewish?
- Not Your Bubbe’s Ketubah: A Walk Through the Jewish Wedding Ceremony
- Sanctifying Time: Jewish Holidays 101
- Jewish on Purpose: Mitzvot in an Age of Choice
- Jewish History in an Hour!
- Godshopping: What Do I Believe??
- Reclaiming Shabbat in a Too-Busy World
- What Would Moses Eat? Thoughtful Jewish Eating for the 21st Century
- From Brit to Burial: The Jewish life cycle
- Sanctifying time: Jewish holidays 101
- For Toronto-area participants: a synagogue visit and a group Shabbat dinner
We approach our discussions from a liberal Jewish perspective that is deeply rooted in Jewish tradition, while equipping you with tools to make meaningful, creative, personal Jewish choices as a couple.
The Community of Practice is a covenantal community of people who are supporting each other in deepening our Jewish connection and our wellness. We ask that participants keep their cameras on for the hour.
Come prepared to learn, connect, and grow!
