  • 2027 Malibu Beach Camp Terms & Conditions

    Our Counselor-in-Training Program provides an opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience through teaching, playing with and learning from children. CITs are involved in a training program that includes working hand in hand with staff, being evaluated by staff members, and receiving feedback from the supervisors and director. This program is for our oldest campers, entering 9th or 10th grade. The fee for the CIT Program is $1,500. A non-refundable deposit of $200 must be made upon acceptance into the CIT Program. This enrollment is not valid unless signed by the parent or guardian of the camper enrolled and accepted by the Camp Director. The signing parent or guardian agrees to pay the tuition and transportation (if applicable) as per the published schedule for this season. No refunds will be given for any reason (late arrival, early departure, dismissal for cause, busing, etc). If tuition is not paid as per the schedule of payment, or if payment is late, early enrollment credits will not apply and enrollment may be cancelled at our discretion with no credit or refund. FORCE MAJEURE. Neither Party will be liable for any failure or delay in performing an obligation under this Agreement that is due to any of the following causes, to the extent beyond its reasonable control: acts of God, accident, riots, war, terrorist act, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, civil commotion, breakdown of communication facilities, breakdown of web host, breakdown of internet service provider, natural catastrophes, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, generalized lack of availability of raw materials or energy. For the avoidance of doubt, Force Majeure shall not include (a) financial distress nor the inability of either party to make a profit or avoid a financial loss, (b) changes in market prices or conditions, or (c) a party's financial inability to perform its obligations hereunder. Curriculum and activities are subject to change dependent on all local and state health guidelines. For the general welfare of all campers, the Camp reserves the unrestricted right to dismiss any camper whose conduct, or influence, or whose parents, guardians, family members or friends conduct, in the opinion of the Director, is inimical to the best interests of the camp. This includes any defamatory comments made on any social media outlets. No refund will be issued in the event of such a dismissal. It is understood that all photography and videography taken at camp may be used for advertising or promotional purposes and the signing parent or guardian expressly consents to such use of their child’s photo/image. Advertising may include newspapers, magazines, radio, camp websites, as well as social networking sites, i.e. Facebook, Instagram, etc. It is agreed that in the event that a parent cannot be reached in case of an emergency affecting the camper, permission is given to the child’s physician as indicated in the camp records or if unavailable, the physician selected by the camp to administer proper treatment to the child. This contract constitutes the full understanding of the parties hereto and no change, modification or waiver of any of the terms shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties. In the event that this agreement is executed by one parent, the signor acknowledges that he/she is also acting as agent of the other parent with authority to enroll the child at camp and to execute this agreement on his or her behalf. We are not responsible for personal property. Bus size, stop times and routing are determined at the discretion of the camp director and bus company hired. *All transportation pricing is subject to change. Should there be a health concern or social distancing enforced, the pricing may change depending on need for additional distancing. This is a base rate for busing. With reduced capacity due to state laws. The signing parent or guardian acknowledges that: (1) This camp is required to be permitted to operate by the Nassau County Department of Health; (2) This camp is required to be inspected twice yearly; (3) The inspection reports concerning this camp are filed at 200 County Seat Drive, Mineola, New York 11501. By submitting this completed enrollment form, the parent or guardian agrees to Malibu Beach Camp’s terms of enrollment and consents to their child’s participation in Malibu Beach Camp Swim Program at Malibu Shore Club.
