Photo and Video Permission: During the retreat, Heartstrings may take photographs and video for documentation and future promotion. Please select your preference:

Heartstrings Songwriters Circle makes no claim of ownership to songs, lyrics, melodies, recordings, or other creative works produced during Heartstrings After Dark. Collaborating songwriters are responsible for discussing and documenting ownership/songwriting splits between themselves.

I understand that Heartstrings After Dark includes late-night activities, walking, an historic building, and an overnight schedule. I understand that I am responsible for determining whether I am comfortable participating in the activities offered and for following instructions provided by Heartstrings Songwriters Circle, Rohs Opera House, the Cynthiana Ghost Walk, and event facilitators.

Because Heartstrings After Dark: Songs & Spirits is a limited-capacity event and many of our expenses are based on the number of registered participants, the following refund and cancellation policy will apply:

Participant Cancellations: Cancellations received on or before September 18, 2026 will receive a full refund, less any non-refundable registration or processing fees. Cancellations received September 19–25 will receive a 50% refund. Beginning September 26, registration fees are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another songwriter at no additional charge, provided you notify Heartstrings in advance and the replacement participant meets any event requirements.

No-Shows and Early Departures: Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for participants who choose to leave the retreat early.

Event Cancellation: If Heartstrings Songwriters Circle or Rohs Opera House must cancel the event, registered participants will receive a full refund of the event registration fee. Heartstrings cannot be responsible for travel, lodging, transportation, or other expenses incurred by participants.

Severe Weather or Circumstances Beyond Our Control: If the event cannot take place because of severe weather, an emergency, or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Heartstrings or Rohs Opera House, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the retreat. If rescheduling is not possible, participants will be notified regarding available refund or credit options.

Heartstrings After Dark: Songs & Spirits is an all-night songwriting retreat at the historic Rohs Opera House. Experience the Cynthiana Ghost Walk, a guided paranormal experience, a storytelling masterclass with Stoll Vaughan, and a collaborative songwriting challenge. Spend the night creating and connecting, then share the songs that didn’t exist the night before.
