RC CAR BUILD RULES & RESTRICTIONS

·         RC body must be made from aluminum flashing (can be found at your local hardware store)

·         ¾” x ¾” angled aluminum body frame

·         1/8” rivets for securements

·         No 4x4 cars

·         10th scale RC cars ONLY

·         Car cannot exceed 7 lbs. total weight

·         You are free to run any tires of your choice

 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I understand that participation in an RC Demolition Derby involves inherent risks. Although participants will be operating remote-controlled vehicles rather than full-size vehicles, an RC demolition derby involves intentional collisions between RC vehicles and may result in vehicles breaking, becoming damaged, or losing parts during competition.

 

I understand and acknowledge that RC vehicles and their components may break and develop sharp, jagged, or exposed edges during the derby. Parts, pieces, batteries, wheels, body panels, metal, plastic, or other debris may become detached or may fly from the competition area. Such debris could potentially strike participants, spectators, volunteers, staff, or other individuals and may cause cuts, bruises, eye injuries, burns, or other bodily injury or property damage.

 

Other risks may include, but are not limited to:

 

- Flying or airborne debris and broken RC vehicle parts;

- Sharp, jagged, broken, or exposed vehicle components;

- Battery damage, overheating, leakage, fire, or electrical hazards;

- Unexpected vehicle movement or loss of control;

- Slips, trips, falls, collisions, or other accidents in or around the event area;

- Injury resulting from retrieving, handling, repairing, or removing damaged RC vehicles.

 

I voluntarily choose to participate in this event with knowledge of these risks and accept responsibility for the risks associated with my participation.

RELEASE AND WAIVER

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to release and hold harmless 231 Main Kendallville Co-Working and Endless Nightmares LLP, along with their owners, members, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, event organizers, and affiliated parties, from claims for injuries, accidents, property damage, or losses arising from the ordinary risks of participating in or attending the RC Demolition Derby, including risks associated with flying debris, broken or sharp RC vehicle parts, collisions, and damaged equipment.

 

I understand that I am responsible for following all event rules and instructions provided by event staff. Event organizers reserve the right to stop a participant or remove an RC vehicle from competition if they believe the participant, vehicle, battery, or equipment presents an unreasonable safety risk.

 

I understand that participation is voluntary and that damage to personally owned RC vehicles are expected and may be severe or permanent. I accept full responsibility for damage to my RC vehicle, controller, battery, accessories, or other personal property resulting from participation in the derby.

 

I understand that rental RC vehicles remain the property of the event organizer/owner and must be used according to event instructions.

 

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have carefully read and understand this Registration, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver and voluntarily agree to its terms.

PARTICIPANTS UNDER AGE 18

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!

If the participant is under 18 years of age, please list the child's name and age below, and a parent or legal guardian must read and sign this waiver.

PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION

I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor participant named above. I have read and understand the risks described in this waiver, including the possibility of flying debris, sharp or broken RC vehicle parts, collisions, damaged batteries/equipment, and other injuries associated with an RC demolition derby.

 

I give permission for the minor named above to participate in the RC Demolition Derby and, on behalf of myself and the minor to the extent permitted by law, agree to the terms of this Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability.

REGISTRATION FEES & RENTALS

 

Registration Fee: $10 per participant

12 & Under Registration Fee: $5 per participant 

RC Car Rental: $50 — Limited availability while supplies last
