FPS North Carolina Senior Division Student Coach Application
Student coaches should be in the Senior Division. Student Coaches must have an adult who will assist them in collecting registration fees, making payments to FPS North Carolina, and supervising competitive problems. It is strongly encouraged that the student coach have a minimum of three years of experience participating in the FPS component they intend to coach. Additionally, new student coaches must attend FPS North Carolina Coach Training (either in person or virtually) or an equivalent training session approved by the FPS North Carolina Affiliate Director.

Students in the Middle Division who wish to coach can gain experience as an assistant to an adult coach until they reach Senior Division.

A decision on each prospective student coach’s application shall be made by the NC FPS Executive Committee. The prospective student coach will be notified within seven days of the applicant’s submission to the NC FPS Affiliate Director. The Executive Committee decision shall be final.
