Due to the limited number of discounted subscriptions we can offer, please answer the questions below as an application for a leg up share. We will notify you to let you know if you are accepted to participate in this affordable food program based on need and service area.

HIP gives you money back on your SNAP card by purchasing local fruits and vegetables from farms like Eastie Farm. The amount you get depends on your household size.

You can use $40 extra every month on local fruits and vegetables from Eastie Farm or another participating local vendor.

This means the cost of a bi-weekly 6-week CSA is covered, without you having to use any of your SNAP dollars, if you haven't used your HIP funds yet. The cost is $20 per share, 2 weeks per month, and that is covered by HIP if you haven't used your HIP funds yet.

You are still welcome to subscribe to a weekly (13-week) CSA if you'd like, and use SNAP funds, cash, or debit/credit for the remaining $40 cost.

You can use $60 extra every month on local fruits and vegetables from Eastie Farm or another participating local vendor.

This means the cost of a bi-weekly 6-week CSA ($40 per month) is covered, without you having to use any of your SNAP dollars, with $20 still to spare, if you haven't used your HIP funds yet. The cost is $20 per share, 2 weeks per month, and that is covered by HIP if you haven't used your HIP funds yet.

You are still welcome to subscribe to a weekly (13-week) CSA if you'd like, and use SNAP funds, cash, or debit/credit for the remaining $20 cost.

You can use $80 extra every month on local fruits and vegetables from Eastie Farm or another participating local vendor.

This means the cost of a weekly CSA ($80/month) is covered, without you having to use any of your SNAP dollars, for a total of $80 per month ($20 per share, 4 weeks per month) if you haven't used your HIP funds yet.

You are still welcome to subscribe to a bi-weekly (6-week without eggs or 7-week with eggs) CSA if you'd like, and you'd have $40 to spend at a different participating HIP vendor if you haven't used your HIP funds yet.
