Meeting the Moment
Jewish Responses When the World Changes
How does Judaism respond when the world changes? Throughout Jewish history, moments of upheaval, challenge, and transformation have sparked new ways of thinking, creating, and living Jewish life.

Each class in this series is taught by a professor from Hebrew Union College, the Reform movement's center of higher learning. We will explore pivotal moments across the centuries when Jews grappled with change—reimagining tradition, responding to crisis, and charting new paths forward. Together, we'll discover how the Jewish conversation has continually evolved, offering wisdom and inspiration for our own changing world.
Sponsored By Hebrew Union College, the Union for Reform Judaism and Laasok in connection with the 2026 URJ Biennial.
