This is the official signup form for UTSSC’s New Year’s trip to the Dolomites, Italy — seven nights in the mountains with up to five days of skiing across the world-famous Dolomiti Superski region.
This trip is open to all ability levels, including complete beginners. Lessons may be booked directly through the ski resort, but lessons are not provided by UTSSC. Please read all information carefully before completing the form.

Accommodations
We are planning to stay for approximately seven nights in the Canazei / Campitello di Fassa area, one of the main gateways to the Sella Ronda and the wider Dolomiti Superski network.
The area offers access to skiing for beginners, intermediates, advanced riders, and experts, along with ski schools, restaurants, shops, and a proper mountain-town atmosphere.
Accommodations will be shared and will be selected based primarily on price, location, lift access, availability, and cancellation terms. Daily breakfast is expected to be included.
The final hotel has not yet been confirmed. UTSSC will only secure accommodations once enough participants have submitted deposits to confirm that the trip can proceed.
Flights & Group Travel
UTSSC plans to arrange a single group flight itinerary from Toronto to Venice. Because this trip is limited to only 8 participants, travelling together on the official group itinerary is strongly recommended.
- Estimated Departure – Dec 26, 2026:
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) → Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)
Expected arrival in Venice on Dec 27, 2026
- Estimated Return – Jan 3, 2027:
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) → Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
Exact airlines, flight numbers, departure times, connections, and arrival times have not yet been finalized.
Based on previous New Year’s travel pricing, we are currently estimating approximately $1,400–$1,600 CAD for round-trip airfare. Final airfare will depend on availability and the timing of the group booking.
Independent Flight Policy
Participants wishing to arrange their own flights must receive written approval from UTSSC before booking.
Please do not purchase independent flights before UTSSC confirms the official group itinerary. Flight schedules, travel dates, airport-transfer times, and trip logistics may change while the trip is being finalized.
Booking independently before the official itinerary is confirmed is done at your own risk and may result in incompatible arrival or departure times.
Participants approved to arrange their own flights must arrive at Venice Airport before the scheduled group transfer. UTSSC cannot delay the shuttle, arrange separate airport transportation, or have the full group wait for an independently booked flight.
Land-only packages may be available upon request and are subject to prior written approval from UTSSC.
Baggage & Packing Requirements
The planned international group fare is expected to include one checked baggage allowance per participant. Final baggage rules will be confirmed once flights are selected and booked.
Because the group will be travelling in a vehicle with limited luggage capacity, participants must pack efficiently. Each participant should plan for one primary checked baggage setup only.
Option 1 – Renting Equipment in Italy Participants renting skis or snowboards may bring:
- One standard checked suitcase containing clothing, boots, and personal belongings.
- A small carry-on or personal item, subject to the final airline rules.
Option 2 – Bringing Your Own Equipment Participants bringing skis or a snowboard may use:
- One ski or snowboard bag.
- One boot bag.
A ski/snowboard bag and boot bag are typically treated together by airlines as one checked sporting-equipment item, subject to the final airline policy.
Participants should pack clothing and other essential items inside the ski/snowboard bag and boot bag wherever possible.
Important: Participants should not plan to bring a ski/snowboard bag, a boot bag, and an additional full-size checked suitcase. The airport-transfer vehicle will have limited storage space, and excessive baggage may not fit.
Pack only what you need for the week. The trip is limited to eight participants, but skis, snowboards, boot bags, and luggage take up substantial space in a passenger vehicle.
Airport Transfers
A private group shuttle is planned from Venice Airport directly to the accommodation in Canazei / Campitello on arrival day.
On the final day, the group will leave the Dolomites in the morning and transfer directly back to Venice Airport. We are not currently planning an overnight stay or sightseeing portion in Venice.
The trip is intentionally designed to be simple: fly into Venice → transfer directly to the Dolomites → ski → return directly to the airport.
