ACGA Festival Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a California resident, have an active ACGA membership, and pay the nonrefundable Festival eligibility application fee.

If you are not yet an ACGA member, please review the Membership Information webpage and register through the Join Us webpage before continuing with this application.

Upload information about your work, process, and yourself

Provide an Artist Statement describing the ideas, inspirations, or concepts behind your work and explaining your process. Include your materials, primary techniques, and firing or working temperatures, if applicable. Techniques may include wheel-throwing, hand-building, slip-casting, hand-painting, flameworking, and glassblowing. 

Collaborative applicants must describe in detail how you work together on a single body of work.

An Artist Bio is required. Collaborative applicants must include two bios—one for each artist—in a single file.

An Artist CV or résumé is optional.

Files must be in .pdf, .doc, or .docx format.

Upload images and submit dimensions for 10 separate works created within the past 5 years

Include at least 2 and no more than 3 different views of each artwork. The first image must show the entire piece. Additional images may show details, side views, the interior, or other perspectives. For a set or work with multiple related components, you may show multiple pieces in one image. The first image should show the entire work or set.

Image Specifications:
72 ppi, JPG or JPEG format
Longest dimension: 1,800 pixels or less
Maximum file size: 2 MB per image

Name each file using this format: LastName_Title_ImageNumber.jpg.

For example, three views of an artwork titled Winter Fruit by Smith would be named:

• Smith_WinterFruit_1.jpg  (A: Full View) 
• Smith_WinterFruit_2.jpg  (B: Additional View)
• Smith_WinterFruit_3.jpg  (C: Optional Third View)

Before You Pay and Submit

Select Save at the bottom of the form. When the confirmation window appears, select Get Draft Link, then copy and save the link in a secure place. This allows you to return to your application without re-entering your information and images if an error occurs. Do not rely solely on receiving the link by email.

Make sure all required fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are complete. 

Applications that do not meet all requirements listed above, including current ACGA membership, may not be considered.
