Have you ever come home from a beautiful place only to realize your photographs didn't capture how it felt to be there?

We've all been there!

Too often we rush from one subject to the next, clicking the shutter without truly seeing what's in front of us.

This workshop is different!

We're going to slow down.

We're going to observe.

We're going to create photographs with purpose.

Inspired by one of my favorite quotes by Mary Oliver...

"Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."
...we'll spend our time discovering how to create images that tell stories, evoke emotion, and capture moments in meaningful ways.

This isn't about taking hundreds of photos.

It's about creating a handful you'll be proud to print!

Throughout the workshop, you'll complete 10 creative photography assignments designed to change the way you see the world. Each challenge will focus on a powerful image concept, including:

You'll leave with more than beautiful photographs, you'll leave with new ways of seeing! I've scheduled this workshop to happen during sunset to hopefull add some amazing light for our images! 

Whether you photograph with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or even your phone, these creative techniques will transform how you approach every scene!

Photography Workshop Participation Agreement

This Photography Workshop Participation Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between the undersigned participant ("Participant") and Lisa Mize Photography ("Organizer"). By signing this Agreement, the Participant agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk
The Participant acknowledges and agrees that participation in the workshop involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical injury (e.g., slips, trips, falls).
Damage to or loss of personal photography equipment.
Environmental risks associated with outdoor locations.
The Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks and agrees to participate at their own discretion.

2. Release of Liability
The Participant agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless Lisa Mize Photography, its employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising from:

Personal injury.
Loss, theft, or damage to personal property or photography equipment.
Any other incident occurring during or related to the workshop.

3. Insurance
The Participant is responsible for securing personal health and equipment insurance. The Organizer does not provide coverage for injuries, illnesses, or damaged/lost equipment.

4. Code of Conduct
The Participant agrees to:

Follow all instructions provided by the Organizer or workshop leaders.
Respect the environment, property, and other participants.
Exercise caution and prioritize safety at all times.

5. Miscellaneous
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Washington.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
By signing below, the Participant confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the workshop date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the workshop date will receive a 50% refund or you can transfer the amount to another workshop.
Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop date are non-refundable.

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
