The theme of this exhibit is street photography which captures candid scenes of humanity – real, unposed moments in public life, whether or not there is a person in the image.

Image Criteria:

• You must be an RPS Member to particiate in this event (Join/Renew).
• Images must be original work by the photographer.
• Images must have been taken since taken October 2024 or later (no more than 2 years old)
• Images previously displayed at the Roswell Visual Arts Center or Roswell Cultural Arts Center are not eligible.
• All entries will be reviewed by the City of Roswell Exhibition Committee for appropriateness. Submitted images will be reviewed by the RPS Board of Directors for adherence to the theme and by the City of Roswell to ensure appropriateness for all ages. Works that depict or describe violence, adult themes, drug use, full frontal nudity, or other controversial subject matter will be disqualified. The City of Roswell Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reject any artwork at their discretion.
• Works may be printed on paper, wood, metal glass etc.
• If the image is framed:
  • Frames may be any color, of professional quality (no plastic)
  • Framed images must be matted in black or white with 1.5” or wider mat.
• Size: Perimeter length (total length around all four sides of the piece), including frame if any, must be at least 50”. For example a 14×11” piece is 50” (14+14+11+11).
• All works must have a hanging wire securely attached to the frame, not the backing. Hooks, clips, Velcro, or other hanging mechanisms are not allowed.
• All works must have the Artist’s Name, contact information (phone number), Title of the piece, Image Category and Selling Price (or “Not For Sale”) securely attached to the back of the image.
• Roswell Photographic Society reserves the right to disallow any image not prepared as described above.

  SALES: Exhibited photographs may be offered for sale at the artist’s discretion. There is no commission on sales from this exhibit.

  RIGHTS: The artists retain all rights to their works.

  DISCLAIMER: By entering this show you verify that you have read the entry application and rules carefully, understand and agree to comply with all the rules, including the waiver of liability. You also understand that the decisions of the judge are final. Your image may be used to advertise this event.

  LIABILITY: Care will be taken in handling and securing images. However, The City of Roswell, Roswell Visual Arts Center, Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, and Roswell Photographic Society and any of their representatives assume no responsibility for loss or damage to the work.

Please submit a digital file of your photograph(s). These will be reviewed by the City. Image files can be .JPG or .JPEG format.
Maximum image size is 5.0 megabytes (MB).

PLEASE name images using the following format, including the SPACE-DASH-SPACE between the Title and Name. And please use spaces between the words if your naming software allows it.:
