Please review this section carefully. By signing below, you acknowledge the physical risks associated with wrestling and agree to the terms of the club’s liability release.
    • I understand that wrestling, conditioning, practices, competitions, travel, and other Grizzly Wrestling Club activities involve physical contact and inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, strains, sprains, fractures, concussions, skin infections, serious injury, illness, disability, or other harm.

I voluntarily permit each wrestler listed on this registration form to participate in Grizzly Wrestling Club activities and accept the ordinary risks associated with that participation. I understand that coaches and volunteers will make reasonable efforts to promote safety, but no athletic activity can be made completely free from risk.

To the extent permitted by Ohio law, I release and hold harmless Grizzly Wrestling Club, Bryan City Schools, and their officers, coaches, volunteers, board members, employees, representatives, and facility providers from claims arising from ordinary negligence related to my wrestler’s participation in club activities.

    • Parent / Wrestler Expectations Acknowledgment

    • Parent and Wrestler Expectations
Please review the following expectations with every wrestler being registered.

      Attendance
Wrestlers should attend practices consistently, arrive on time, come prepared, and notify a coach when they will be absent.

      Behavior
Wrestlers are expected to listen to coaches, follow instructions, remain focused, use appropriate language, and treat teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents with respect.

      Sportsmanship
Wrestlers and parents should demonstrate good sportsmanship at practices, tournaments, and club events. Encourage all athletes, accept wins and losses respectfully, and represent Grizzly Wrestling Club in a positive manner.

      Parent Conduct
Parents should support their wrestler positively, communicate respectfully with coaches and other families, avoid coaching from the sidelines, and allow the coaching staff to direct practices and competition.

      Hygiene
Wrestlers must wear clean practice clothing, keep fingernails trimmed, shower promptly after practices and tournaments, and regularly clean wrestling shoes, headgear, and equipment.

      Safety
Wrestlers must follow all safety instructions, use equipment properly, avoid unsafe behavior, and immediately report pain, illness, skin concerns, or possible injury to a coach.

      Injuries and Medical Restrictions
Parents must inform coaches of any injury, concussion, medical restriction, or return-to-play limitation before the wrestler participates. A wrestler should not practice or compete until medically cleared when clearance is required.

      Communication
Parents are responsible for reviewing sportsYou announcements, responding to deadlines, keeping contact information current, and contacting the club when questions or concerns arise.

      Volunteer Support
Families may be asked to assist with tournaments, concessions, setup, cleanup, fundraising, apparel distribution, or other club activities. Volunteer support helps the club provide a strong and affordable program for all wrestlers.

      Acknowledgment
By selecting this acknowledgment, I confirm that I have reviewed these expectations with all wrestlers being registered and agree to support the standards of Grizzly Wrestling Club throughout the season.
