It is the sole responsibility of each vendor to obtain and maintain all licenses, permits, inspections, certifications, registrations, tax accounts, and other approvals required to legally conduct business within the State of South Carolina, the City of North Charleston, and any other applicable jurisdiction.
This may include, but is not limited to:
• Business License
• South Carolina Retail License
• Clemson Department of Plant Industry (DPI) Nursery Certificate or Plant Dealer License (if applicable)
• South Carolina sales and use tax registration
• Any additional federal, state, or local licensing or regulatory requirements applicable to your business
South Carolina Plant Vendors
⚠️ Vendors selling live plants within South Carolina must possess a valid Clemson Department of Plant Industry (DPI) Nursery Certificate or Plant Dealer License, as required by South Carolina law.
Please provide your license number within this application.
Out-of-State Plant Vendors
Out-of-state vendors selling live plants must provide a valid nursery, greenhouse, or plant dealer license issued by their home state if one is required.
If your state does not require nursery licensing, documentation from your state's Department of Agriculture or other appropriate regulatory agency confirming that no nursery license or inspection is required must be submitted with your application.

🌿 Plant Sourcing & Vendor Compliance Policy
The BIG Plant Expo is committed to promoting ethical plant sales, responsible collecting, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. By submitting this application and participating in The BIG Plant Expo, each vendor agrees to the following:
• All plants, propagations, cuttings, seeds, and other plant materials offered for sale or display must be legally obtained, ethically sourced, and nursery-grown or otherwise lawfully propagated.
• Wild-collected, poached, illegally imported, smuggled, or otherwise unlawfully obtained plants or plant materials are strictly prohibited.
• Vendors may not sell plants known to be infested with pests, diseases, invasive species, or prohibited soil or growing media that violate applicable agricultural regulations.
• Vendors must maintain all licenses, permits, inspections, certifications, and registrations required by applicable federal, state, and local laws throughout the event.
• Vendors agree to provide reasonable documentation upon request demonstrating the lawful origin of plants or plant materials, including nursery invoices, propagation records, import documentation, phytosanitary certificates, or CITES documentation when applicable.
• The BIG Plant Expo reserves the right to inspect booth inventory at any time, request supporting documentation, require the removal of any item that appears to violate these policies or applicable laws, and remove any vendor from the event without refund for failure to comply.
• Knowingly providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information regarding licensing, plant sourcing, compliance, or business operations may result in application denial, immediate removal from the event without refund, disqualification from future events hosted by The BIG Plant Expo, and, when appropriate, referral to the applicable regulatory or enforcement agency.
By submitting this application, the vendor acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to comply with these requirements and accept full responsibility for maintaining compliance throughout the event.
