Niagara Islamic Community Center (NICC) presents The Preeminent Merit of the Knowledge of the Salaf over the Khalaf course in collaboration with Salikeen Seminary
Join us for a 7-week intensive on Faḍl 'Ilm al-Salaf 'alā 'Ilm al-Khalaf (The Preeminent Merit of the Knowledge of the Salaf over the Khalaf) by Imām Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī.

Students will explore the concepts of beneficial and non-beneficial knowledge, their branches, and the distinguishing signs of each. The course will also examine the superiority of the methodology of the Salaf in contrast to the Khalaf (latecomers), with discussions that may touch on uṣūl al-fiqh, ʿaqīdah, and taṣawwuf.

This course aims to strengthen the student of knowledge in understanding and practicing the methodology of the Salaf.

Instructor: Sh. Shavkat Sayed

Schedule: Fridays, 7PM - Maghrib | Starting Jul 31th for 7 weeks

Duration: 2 hour per class

Location: Masjid Aisha, 70 St David St E, Thorold, ON

Audience: Mature audience (13+)
