A playful introduction to songwriting, singing, rhythm, movement, and beginner instruments. Children will build confidence, creativity, and a love of making music in a fun, encouraging environment.
Kids Edition (Ages 8–13)

Thursdays
Time: 3:00–4:15 PM

Fall: September 17 – October 29, 2026
Winter: January 7 – February 11, 2027
Spring: April 8 – May 13, 2027

Students will write original songs, learn basic accompaniment on piano or ukulele, develop their singing voices, and build confidence through creativity and performance.
Youth Edition (Ages 11–15)

Thursdays
Time: 4:30–5:45 PM

Fall: September 17 – October 29, 2026
Winter: January 7 – February 11, 2027
Spring: April 8 – May 13, 2027

Designed for students who are ready to take their songwriting and musicianship to the next level. Participants will write and refine original songs, strengthen their vocal and instrumental skills, collaborate with peers, and grow as confident, expressive performers.
Emerging Artists (Ages 15+)

Thursdays
Time: 5:45–7:00 PM

Fall: September 17 – October 29, 2026
Winter: January 7 – February 11, 2027
Spring: April 8 – May 13, 2027

A supportive workshop for aspiring singer-songwriters looking to deepen their craft. Participants will explore lyric writing, song structure, performance techniques, and artistic identity while receiving personalized feedback and encouragement in a collaborative environment.

Workshop Policies & Permissions

Please review the following before completing your registration.
Workshop Policies
- Attendance: Regular attendance helps students get the most out of the workshop experience. While I understand that occasional absences are sometimes unavoidable, there are no make-up classes for missed sessions. Whenever possible, I'll send home materials or activities so students can stay connected and continue learning at home.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Registration fees are refundable up to 14 days before the start of the registered session. After that time, refunds cannot be guaranteed, except in the event of workshop cancellation or exceptional circumstances at my discretion.
- Minimum Enrollment: Workshops require a minimum of 4 registered students. If a workshop does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement, participants will be notified and all registration fees will be refunded in full.
Photo & Video Permission

From time to time, photos or short videos may be taken during workshops and used on my website, social media, or in promotional materials for future workshops.
May photos or videos of your child be used for these purposes?
Medical Emergency Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Carrie Day to seek appropriate medical assistance for my child if I cannot be reached immediately.

Carrie Day is an Edmonton singer-songwriter and music educator who has spent more than a decade helping children, youth, and adults discover their creativity through songwriting. She believes every student has something unique to say and strives to create a welcoming environment where confidence and creativity can flourish.
