• 'Tea for a Tent' fundraising for ShelterBox

  • Come and enjoy a cake & hot drink and find out all about ShelterBox, the charity supporting people to rebuild their lives after disaster or conflict..... Recovery starts with shelter. Having somewhere dry and warm to sleep, to prepare meals and be with your family is vital for starting the long process of rebuilding your life.  Emergency shelter offers privacy and helps to preserve your dignity. It offers protection from the elements, animals and disease. It helps keep communities together. It can help to bring back a sense of normality, allowing children to go back to school. Most importantly, it empowers families to start the process of getting back on their feet.

  • Come along and enjoy our ShelterBox fundraiser in Abington Park on Sunday 9th August. 

    There will be music from the Bandstand ‘ Fynnius Fogg’ from 2 till 5pm - legendary Pop Group and Charity Band.

    The Cafe in the Park is sponsoring our event, providing  ‘A hot drink and a cake’ to everyone who signs up and pays £5. We will have a ShelterBox Tent and equipment display, gazebo and volunteers will be on hand to talk about ShelterBox &  Rotary and take donations. Bring your lightweight chairs and enjoy the music too.
