    Accurate Inventory = Accurate Estimate
Please ensure that you provided the most accurate documentation of your inventory possible. We use your listed inventory to determine the number of movers, estimate the time required, and provide your quote. Your estimate assumes everything is packed and ready to go on moving day. If a significant number of items are added after booking, additional time and charges may apply.

Cancellation & Rescheduling: A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule your move and receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours' notice may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and cash. Payment is due upon completion of your move unless otherwise agreed upon.

Additional Charges: Your estimate is based on the information you provide at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply for services or items not included in the original estimate, such as extra pickups or deliveries, moving additional items, removing or reinstalling doors, last-minute packing requested on moving day, or other services beyond the original scope of work.

Bulky Items: Some large or specialty items require additional time, equipment, or manpower to move safely. These items are subject to a Bulky Item Fee, which is separate from the hourly moving rate. Examples include pianos, pool tables, safes, gun safes, hot tubs, riding lawn mowers, motorcycles, and other oversized items. Be sure to list any bulky items when booking so we can prepare accordingly and provide the most accurate estimate.

Arrival Time: We work hard to stay on schedule, but delays caused by traffic, weather, or earlier moves may occasionally affect arrival times. If we're running ahead of or behind schedule, we'll keep you informed by phone as soon as possible.

Inclement Weather: We take every precaution to protect your belongings during inclement weather, but weather-related damage cannot be guaranteed against. Snow or ice removal requested on-site may result in additional charges. If severe weather makes it unsafe to complete your move, we reserve the right to postpone and reschedule your move at the earliest available opportunity.

Firearms: For the safety of our crew and your property, please remove all firearms from the premises prior to your move. We do not transport, handle, or assume responsibility for firearms under any circumstances.

Travel Time: To provide service outside our local service area, travel charges may apply for locations more than 35 miles from our office. This charge covers the crew's travel time from our office to your location and their return trip after completing your move. We will include any applicable travel charges in your estimate.

Televisions: Large-screen, plasma, and flat-panel TVs require special care during transportation and can be damaged by temperature changes, impacts, or improper handling. Whenever possible, the original manufacturer packaging should be used.
TVs must be properly packed, boxed, or crated before they can be moved. If your TV is not already prepared for transport, our crew can provide packing services for an additional charge.
Need Packing Assistance? We highly recommend our professional packing service to help protect your belongings and ensure they are properly prepared for moving day. Contact our team for more information or to schedule packing services.

If You Pack: Customers are responsible for properly preparing all items they choose to pack themselves. We recommend using quality moving boxes and packing materials.
Please pack all belongings securely in boxes only. Do not use paper bags, plastic bags, or other unsuitable containers. All boxes must be closed, taped securely on the top and bottom, and clearly labeled on the top and sides with the destination room. Mark all fragile boxes appropriately.
Fragile items such as lamps, china, computers, stereos, electronics, and other delicate items must be properly packed and protected prior to the move. Improperly packed items may be subject to limitations of liability.

Contents of Drawers: For the safety of your belongings and our moving crew, please prepare furniture drawers according to the following guidelines:
Pressed wood and particle board furniture must have all drawers completely emptied. Desk drawers must also be emptied prior to moving. Standard two-drawer file cabinets may remain packed if the drawers are locked or securely taped closed. Lateral file cabinets and fireproof file cabinets must be emptied.
Clothing may remain in dresser drawers; however, all fragile, valuable, and heavy items (including perfume, jewelry, books, documents, and similar items) must be removed before the move.

Elevators: If an elevator is required for your move, please reserve it with your building management and ensure it is padded/protected for moving day. Be sure to inform us of any building requirements, elevator reservations, or time restrictions that may affect your move.

Damages: Before your move begins, the crew will inspect your belongings to make sure everything has been adequately packed. In some cases, they may recommend additional protections, which is an added charge. If you choose not to use protective services recommended by the crew after the initial walkthrough, you may be required to sign a release of liability, and Homebound Movers LLC will not be responsible for damage that could have been prevented by those services.
Please notify your movers immediately if something has been damaged and ensure any it is documented on your move paperwork. Any damage discovered after the move must be reported to our office within 30 days. All moving charges must be paid in full before damage claims can be processed.

Homebound Movers LLC does not disassemble or reassemble furniture made from these materials. If you choose to disassemble these items, we will move the pieces but will not reassemble them at delivery.

Appliances: Homebound Movers LLC does not disconnect or reconnect washers, dryers, refrigerators, or other appliances. We do not replace dryer cords or perform appliance repairs.
Refrigerator doors, water lines, electrical connections, and freezer drawers will not be removed by our movers. If these items must be disconnected or removed to complete your move, please arrange for a qualified appliance professional to complete this work before moving day.
Homebound Movers LLC is not responsible for internal damage to appliances or electronic components, including loose wires, blown fuses, or mechanical issues. Due to the thin metal construction of many appliances, we are not responsible for minor dents, scratches, or cosmetic damage that may occur during normal moving conditions.

Released Valuation Coverage: Homebound Movers LLC provides Released Valuation Coverage on all moves. This is the standard coverage included with your move and provides compensation of $0.60 per pound per article for eligible damages. This coverage is not based on the item's actual value and includes certain limitations and exclusions, which are outlined below.

    What Is Not Covered: Exclusions
The following items and circumstances are excluded from coverage. Understanding these exclusions will help you properly prepare for your move.

    • Customer-packed items: Items packed by the customer are not covered. Because we cannot verify the packing method, materials used, or condition of the boxes/containers, we cannot assume responsibility for damage to customer-packed items.
    • Granite, marble, tile and concrete are not covered under our Liability due to variations in hairline cracks, veining, fissures, and pitting.
    • Any furniture items when no furniture pads are used for protection (based on customer refusal). Furniture pads are extremely important in ensuring that your items are packed safely for transport.
    • Special care items, including glass, glass tops, mirrors, fine art, clocks, electronics or high value items without proper packing and preparation. Why: The best example of these are plasma and LCD TV’s. These items must be crated or packed in original boxes before shipment. We will not move special care items without packing or crating properly.
    • Jewelry and Other Valuables: Please note that we will not be liable for any valuables such as documents, medicine, priceless items, jewelry and currency.
    • Clay Pots, concrete statues and other outdoor decor will not be covered under any circumstances. Should you ask Homebound Movers LLC to move clay pots, full or empty, we will do our best to move them in a safe manner, but being that they may have a crack going through unseen; every bump on the road could cause a breakage. Therefore, we will not be held responsible for any kind of planters/pots made of clay, porcelain, ceramic or glass.

What Is Covered: While Released Valuation Coverage includes certain limitations and exclusions, we do cover items that are damaged due to the actions of our movers while the items are in our care, custody, and control, provided the damage does not fall under an excluded circumstance listed above.
Release of Liability: In some situations, placing an item in a requested location may create a risk of damage to the item or property. If this occurs, our crew will review the situation with you and provide a release form acknowledging that you accept responsibility for any resulting damage. We will not move the item into the requested location until the release has been signed.
Right of Refusal: Homebound Movers LLC reserves the right to refuse service when conditions are deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or abusive. If service is refused for these reasons, we are not responsible for any resulting damages or costs.
Gratuities: Tips for our movers and packers are greatly appreciated but are never required.
