Game & Controller Setup
All racers will use the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers and steering-wheel attachments provided by the tournament so everyone competes using the same setup. Personal controllers will not be used, except for players who need an accessibility accommodation and contact the organizer before the event.

Tournament Rules
Players must be age 16 or older. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be played on Nintendo Switch. All racers must use the provided tournament controller and wheel setup. Racers may choose any available character and standard in-game kart combination. Players must follow the announced race, scoring, and advancement format given before play begins. A special race-your-way-back-in opportunity will be explained at the tournament. Intentional interference with equipment, abusive behavior, cheating, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification without a refund. If a technical problem affects a race, the organizer will decide whether the race should be restarted. Tournament organizer decisions regarding gameplay, advancement, and technical issues are final.
