Henley Winter Series 26/27 Entry Form

Declaration

By submitting this entry, I confirm that

1. I am authorised to enter the named boat(s) on behalf of my club or crew(s).
2. All competitors will be suitably experienced and medically fit to participate in the Henley Winter Series.
3. I certify that I and my crew(s) are fit and competent to race. I understand that a false declaration may result in the disqualification of the individual or crew from the event.
4. All competitors will wear an appropriate buoyancy aid throughout the event.
5. All crews will wear suitable clothing for the prevailing conditions and understand the effects of cold water shock.
6. If I am entering an outrigger crew or crews, I confirm that each crew is capable of self-rescue in the event of a capsize.
7. If I am entering a dragon boat crew or crews, I confirm that, in the event of a capsize, each crew is able to swim the dragon boat to the bank, take the appropriate actions before re-entering the craft, and paddle it safely back to the start.
8. All boats entered will comply with the Henley Winter Series Race Rules and any applicable governing body requirements.
9. I have read and agree to abide by the Henley Winter Series Race Rules, Safety Plan, and any instructions issued by the Race Organisers, Event Safety Crew, Race Volunteers, or Race Officials.
10. I confirm that all outrigger crews are current members of British Canoeing.
11. I confirm that any dragon boat crew(s) entered are members of the British Dragon Boat Racing Association (BDA) at club level and that every paddler within those crew(s) is also a current individual BDA member.
12. I understand that paddlesports are activities that carry an inherent risk of injury or death and that participation is entirely at the competitor’s own risk.
13. I accept responsibility for ensuring that all members of my crew(s) are aware of these conditions.
