DOVE HUNT RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
By participating in any dove hunt, hunting activity, outdoor recreational activity, or related event conducted by Forest Green Preserve, Inc. ("FGP"), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that hunting and outdoor recreational activities involve inherent risks that may result in serious bodily injury, permanent disability, death, or property damage.
These risks include, but are not limited to:
• Firearms and ammunition discharge
• Actions of other hunters, guests, or participants
• Ricochets, stray projectiles, and hunting-related accidents
• Uneven terrain, holes, ditches, fences, trees, stumps, and natural obstacles
• Slips, trips, falls, and other accidents
• Weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, lightning, and wind
• Operation of vehicles, ATVs, UTVs, tractors, trailers, and equipment
• Hunting dogs, domestic animals, and wildlife
• Exposure to insects, ticks, snakes, poison ivy, and other natural hazards
• Limited access to emergency medical services
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in activities at FGP.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Forest Green Preserve, Inc., its owners, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, affiliated entities, landowners, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to my participation in any activity at FGP, including claims arising from negligence, except where prohibited by law.
HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, or attorney's fees arising from:
• My actions or omissions;
• My violation of any hunting, firearm, or safety laws;
• Injury or damage caused by me;
• Any guest, minor, or animal accompanying me.
SAFETY RULES
I agree to:
• Handle firearms safely and responsibly at all times.
• Keep all firearms pointed in a safe direction.
• Positively identify my target and what lies beyond it.
• Follow all instructions provided by FGP staff.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local hunting regulations.
• Refrain from consuming alcohol or illegal drugs before or during hunting activities.
• Immediately report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to FGP staff.
I understand that unsafe conduct may result in immediate removal from the property without refund.
EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER
Participants shall not attempt to repair, adjust, modify, or operate any hunting equipment, clay target throwers, machinery, vehicles, or facilities that appear damaged or malfunctioning. Any issue shall be reported immediately to FGP staff.
MEDICAL TREATMENT
I authorize emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary and understand that I am solely responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE
I grant Forest Green Preserve, Inc. permission to photograph, record, and use my likeness in photographs, videos, promotional materials, advertisements, websites, and social media without compensation unless I specifically opt out.
MINOR PARTICIPANTS (Under 18 Years of Age)
Participants under the age of eighteen (18) are welcome to participate only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, or as otherwise permitted by Forest Green Preserve policies.
If the participant is under the age of 18, the participant and his or her parent or legal guardian must report to a Forest Green Preserve staff member upon arrival before participating in any activity.
The parent or legal guardian will be required to review and personally sign the Forest Green Preserve Minor Participant Agreement, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Hold Harmless Agreement in the presence of Forest Green Preserve staff before the minor will be permitted to participate.
Forest Green Preserve reserves the right to deny participation to any minor if the required parent or legal guardian signature is not obtained or if all required documentation has not been completed.
GAME LAW COMPLIANCE
I understand that harvested birds are my responsibility and that I am responsible for complying with all applicable federal and Virginia hunting regulations, migratory bird regulations, licensing requirements, HIP registration requirements, bag limits, possession limits, and transportation requirements.
GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By selecting the acceptance checkbox and electronically signing this form, I acknowledge that:
• I have read and understand this Agreement.
• I understand that I am waiving certain legal rights.
• I voluntarily agree to all terms and conditions contained herein.
• I am legally authorized to participate in hunting activities.
• I possess all licenses, permits, and Virginia HIP registrations required by law.
• I agree to comply with all instructions and safety requirements established by Forest Green Preserve, Inc.
