  • The annual RSGYC Junior Regatta takes place on Wednesday, July 8th.

    This annual Regatta is one of the highlights of the Junior and Youth sailing calendar in Dun Laoghaire.

    We have been preparing for the last couple of weeks and are all set to get afloat and have some fun! Courses are planned, the BBQ is ready to sizzle and the race officers have been woken form their naps.  Parents are encouraged to come down and help out if they would like to get involved.There will be something for everyone, alfoat and ashore! 

    Registration will take place at:

    16:00 - 17:30 on Tuesday July 7th

    and

    08:30 - 09:00 on Wednesday July 8th

     

    The competitors' briefing will take place at the RSGYC at 9:15 on Wednesday morning, at the RSGYC flagpole.


    Launching will take place from 10:00 at all Clubs.

    There will be two race courses. Regatta Fleet in the Harbour, and Main Fleet outside.

    BBQ Prizegiving will be as soon as possible after racing, approx. 15.00

    I wish to enter the above named boat in the RSGYC Junior Regatta. I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing, and all other rules that govern this event. I accept full responsibility for the management and safety of the boat noted above and I also accept that neither the Royal St. George Yacht Club, its members, its employees and its representatives shall accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the event. I further declare that I hold a valid and current Certificate of Insurance with adequate third party cover. I also agree to carry adequate insurance for the above boat, equipment and crew with minimum third party liability of €3,000,000 or equivalent which includes cover while racing.

    Competitors are entirely responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing reduces this responsibility. It is for competitors/parent/guardian to decide whether their boat is fit to sail the conditions in which it will find itself.
