Choosing Your Material
It is highly recommended to familiarize yourself with the unique characteristics of each medium before making your final selection. Because every custom sourcing project automatically explores all available materials, you do not need to decide today. Take this time to learn about your options so you know which medium feels right for your family.
1. BabySoft Vinyl
Today’s BabySoft vinyl creations are a far cry from the rigid plastic dolls of the past. Visually stunning, vinyl allows for a level of precise detailing and realism that silicone simply cannot match.
- Texture & Feel: The head and limbs are crafted from a thin, flexible material that offers a gentle "give" when pressed, featuring a smooth, matte finish. These parts attach to a premium, baby-scented fabric body that is expertly weighted to curl naturally into your arms.
- Display Options: Whenever available, an optional, matching, removable tummy plate is included for realistic posing and breathtaking display, without losing the soft, cuddly feel during bonding time.
- Care & Longevity: This durable medium is easy to care for and can last for decades with proper handling. The hair is sealed from the inside of the head to minimize shedding. While the limbs can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and the hair gently shampooed, vinyl babies cannot be submerged in water.
2. Premium Silicone
Silicone dolls offer an incredibly soft, "squishy" texture with a distinct, lifelike weight. Each piece is crafted from an original sculpt that is hand-poured by a molding artist. Because of this artisanal process, natural surface variations—such as minor bumps, lumps, and tiny divots—are inherent to the medium and add to its unique charm.
- Partial Silicone: Cast in premium blends (such as Ecoflex 20, Ecoflex 30, or Marshmallow silicone depending on the manufacturer) and joined by a high-quality fabric body. This keeps maximum flexibility in the torso for the ultimate cuddling experience. When available, a matching silicone tummy plate is included for realistic posing.
- Full-Bodied Silicone: These exquisite pieces are crafted from 100% solid silicone and can be poured in Ecoflex 20, Ecoflex 30, or a specialized Marshmallow blend depending on the pouring artist. Each variation yields an equally enchanting, lifelike finish.
- Care & Maintenance: Partial silicone can be gently wiped clean with a damp washcloth, while full-bodied silicone is water-safe and can be fully submerged. However, we recommend bathing rooted-hair models sparingly; because solid silicone heads cannot be sealed from the inside, some hair shedding is inevitable over time. Additionally, silicone acts like a magnet for lint, dust, and fuzz. It may occasionally become tacky and require routine re-matting to restore its original smooth finish.
How It Works
Using the photographs you provide in this form, I will thoroughly research and source available blank sculpts in your chosen medium, searching for a base model that structurally resembles your baby as closely as possible.
- The Sourcing Process: Please allow up to 3 weeks for this comprehensive search. Sourcing silicone models is a more lengthy process and typically yields fewer options, as there are far fewer silicone blanks available on the market compared to vinyl.
- Review & Approval: Once my research is complete, you will receive a personalized report detailing all available choices. You will then use a follow-up form to review and officially approve the sculpt you like best. Production begins immediately upon your approval.
Payment Plans & Layaway Terms
Investing in an heirloom portrait doll can be a significant financial commitment. To help make this beautiful investment fit your budget, I offer flexible payment and layaway options. Please review the following terms carefully before signing up for a payment plan:
- Non-Refundable Policy: To secure materials and labor, all payments are strictly non-refundable.
- Shipping: Your custom portrait baby will be safely shipped only after your balance is paid in full.
- Payment Schedule: To keep your account current, one payment is required every 30 days.
- Grace Period: I offer a generous 14-day grace period for unexpected circumstances.
- Delinquency Policy: If an account reaches 45 days without a payment, the order will automatically be paused. All funds paid to date will be converted into store credit until you either re-establish a new payment plan or pay the remaining balance in full.
Timelines & Pricing
The final price is directly dependent on the raw materials required for your custom baby. Vinyl represents the most economical option, partial silicone sits in the middle range, and full-bodied silicone represents our highest premium tier.

Important Creative Note: Because I am a reborn and portrait artist rather than a sculptor, an exact structural replication is not possible in any medium. I work exclusively with existing manufactured kits. My specialty lies in using my artistic skill, specialized training, and love to build your baby's unique details onto a structurally similar, pre-existing base model that you have personally approved.
