Buy Swap Sell Day Site Booking Information
Please complete this form to book a site for the Buy Swap Sell Day on Sunday 23 August 2026. This event is mainly for private sellers offering personal, pre-loved and second-hand household items. Commercial traders may be accepted at the discretion of Albury Show Society Management.
Event details
· Date: Sunday 23 August 2026
· Public trading hours: 7.00 am – 1.00 pm
· Set-up: Saturday 22 August, 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm, or Sunday 6.00 am – 7.00 am sharp
· Sites must be ready by: 7.00 am
· Speed limit: 10 km/hr within the Showgrounds

Site set-up and pack-down
· Keep all vehicles, tables, marquees, racks and equipment safe, secure and within your allocated site.
· Keep roads, gates, walkways and emergency access areas clear at all times.
· Include all items that affect your site size when booking, including tow bars, trailer drawbars and shade structures.
· Do not move vehicles in the Showgrounds during trading hours unless directed by Management.
· Site holders may leave after 1.00 pm, or earlier only if directed by Management.
· Remove all unsold goods, packaging and rubbish at the end of the event.
Bookings, payment and confirmation
· A site is confirmed only when full payment has been received and cleared.
· All prices quoted are GST inclusive where applicable.
· Successful applicants will receive site confirmation, bump-in details and any entry requirements.
· Limited parking may be available. Please request parking approval from Management before the event.
Safety and site conduct
· Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others.
· Make sure any electrical equipment is safe, in good repair and meets Australian safety requirements.
· Management may ask for proof that electrical equipment has been tested and tagged.
· Sites may be closed, or site holders asked to leave, if unsafe equipment, unsafe behaviour or non-compliance is identified.
Weather
· The Buy Swap Sell Day is an all-weather event.
· Please be prepared for wind, rain, heat or cold.
· Refunds will not be given due to weather unless Management decides otherwise.
Goods for sale
This event is for private sellers offering personal goods, second-hand items, collectables, books, toys, tools, clothing, furniture and similar items. Items must be lawful, safe and suitable for sale. Management may refuse any item considered offensive, illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, stolen, recalled, prohibited or unsuitable.
The following banned or restricted items must not be sold:
· Explicit or hardcore T-shirts
· Fake cigarettes
· Fireworks or crackers
· Fuel-type fire lighters, including Zippo-style lighters
· Horns and trumpets
· Knives, including pen knives
· Laser pointers
· Metal or wooden martial arts nunchakas
· Nude or lurid playing cards
· Pressure-pack snow or fart gas
· Silly string, stink bombs, bouncing beans and water bombs
· Ball bearing guns, eight-shot caps, pellet guns, pop downs, potato guns, roll caps, strip caps and water pistols over 150 mm
· Samurai swords, English swords and fencing swords, unless sold sealed by licensed traders only
Food, drinks and commercial trading
· Private site holders must not sell food, drinks, alcohol or consumable products unless they have prior written approval from Management.
· Approved sellers must meet all council, health, safety, licensing and food safety requirements.
· Required registrations or approvals must be provided before trading.
· Gas appliances, generators, cooking equipment and heating equipment must not be used without prior written approval.
· Please reduce packaging, dispose of waste responsibly and encourage buyers to use reusable bags.
Site holder responsibility
Site holders are responsible for their site, goods, equipment and conduct. Albury Show Society Inc. is not responsible for loss, damage, injury, theft or costs connected with participation, including:
· Goods being sold, displayed or handled
· Injury to the site holder, helpers or other people
· Loss or damage to property
· Theft, loss or damage of goods, equipment, vehicles or personal property
· Breach of these terms and conditions
· Legal costs caused by a breach
· Travel to and from the event
Alcohol and drugs
· Site holders and helpers must not operate a site while affected by alcohol or drugs.
· Alcohol must not be sold or supplied unless approved in writing and all required licences are held.
· Alcohol must not be consumed while operating a site.
· Illegal drug use or unsafe substance use is not permitted.
· Management may remove or exclude any person whose behaviour creates a safety risk.
· Anyone affected by alcohol or drugs may be required to leave and may lose the right to take part in the event.
Terms and conditions
· Site holders must not damage, alter or carry out works on Showground property.
· If damage occurs, the site holder is responsible for repair or replacement costs.
· Albury Show Society Management does not guarantee sales, buyer numbers, site position, facilities, services, advertising, security or site suitability.
· Any site holder who does not follow these terms and conditions may be required to leave the event and may lose the right to take part in future Albury Show Society events.
