· On the exceptional occasion when board members are unable to complete their annual state-mandated training requirements at conferences or other in-person training events, KSBA offers a limited number of self-study options in our library.
· Training credit will only be awarded once for each self-study training module over the entire length of board member service.
· If you previously received training credit for a webinar, you will not be eligible to watch the webinar as a self-study for training credit.
· If you register for a self-study course in which you are not eligible to receive additional training credit, KSBA will send you alternate self-study courses, if available.
· KSBA has three additional webinars scheduled October – December. After the webinar date, those will be added to the list of self-study courses available below. You may go ahead and register for the webinars at this link or wait to order as a self-study. Eitehr way, you may only receive credit for the webinar once, either by watching it live or by viewing it as a self-study course.
· KSBA cannot guarantee how many new self-study courses will be available each year, so it is imperative for members to monitor their board hour needs closely throughout the year.
· Self-study fees must be paid with a credit card when ordering the self-study module(s).
· Self-study courses are expected to be available for order Sept. 15 – Dec. 31 of each year.
Steps to request and complete self-study modules:
· Complete this order form and include payment information.
· Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email invitation to the online self-study link within two business days of submission.
· Once the module is completed, an email notification of completion will be sent directly to the KSBA training office and no further action will be required.
· Training credit will be updated on the portal within five business days of completion.
· Finance self-study courses will be added later this fall (two of which are scheduled webinars and one additional course). If you need finance training as part of your 2026 state-mandated requirements, please reach out to training@ksba.org for more information.
· If you have previously taken self-study courses and there are not enough new courses for you to receive your 2026 state-mandated training hours, please reach out to KSBA to discuss options.
