• BSMA Returning Trainee Joining Information, 2026/27

  • Welcome back to the British Suzuki Music Association teacher training course.

This form is designed to collect all of the information needed from you ahead of the start of your course from an administrative point of view. Your course director is your main point of contact regarding anything to do with the course tuition, dates, written work, and general support.

Anything to do with payments, membership, or problems you woud rather not discuss with your your course director about can be directed to me in the office; the best way to get in touch is via my email, admin@britishsuzuki.com.

I realise some of this information you will have provided before but as things do change, please bear with me and fill in everything as best you can.

    Thank you,
    Nickie Chapman

  • The BSMA requires Teacher Members to have an Enhanced DBS check at least every 3 years. If you need to arrange a check, please email me in the Office. This costs £85 and can be done online.

If you have a current DBS certificate, please enter the information below.

All teachers must also complete annual Child Safeguarding training if they are training with us or teaching/observing at a BSMA course. Many of the BSMA teachers do this through an employer/church/etc. If you have done this, please upload proof of completion below.

If you have not done this, we recommend this online course which costs £15 and takes around 1 hour - https://hsqe.co.uk/course/safeguarding-children/#

If you are not based in the UK, you can instead be a member of your local ESA-recognised national organisation. Please provide this information below.

If you have children, their family membership is covered by your teacher membership. Existing BSMA members who convert to teacher membership will have their first payment pro-rated as necessary.

  • Once you reach level 2, or while you are actively in training for level 2, you will be listed on the BSMA website. Your ESA listing will be active immediately (the ESA keep your email private).
