2026 Lake Mitchell HOBO Event Registration

Saturday, June 20, 2026 | Higgins Ferry Park, Lake Mitchell | $35 per tally sheet | Supporting the HOBO Student-Teacher Scholarship Fund
Event Schedule:
- Dock stops open: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Prize tally sheets due at Higgins Ferry: 2:45 p.m.
- Awards announced: 3:00 p.m.
Participants visit 7 of 10 dock stops. At each stop, participants present their tally sheet, draw, and receive a stamp. Completed tally sheets must be turned in at Higgins Ferry by 2:45 p.m. to be eligible for prizes.

Sponsored Prizes Categories:
• Royal Flush Jackpot: $1,000
• 1st place: $500
• 2nd place: $200
• 3rd place: $100

Event takes place rain or shine; canceled only due to dangerous weather.

Registration is non-refundable but transferable to another participant.

- A tally sheet is each participant’s scorecard for the event. Each participant must purchase at least one tally sheet for $35. Participants may purchase more than one tally sheet. Each tally sheet is completed separately and must be presented at each dock stop.
  
  The Captain is not automatically registered as a participant. If the Captain is participating, list the Captain as Participant 1 below. If the Captain is not participating, list the first person participating as Participant 1. You may register up to 10 participants on this form.
  
  Participants may purchase more than one tally sheet. If you have multiple tally sheets, you must show the dock stop volunteer which tally sheet you are using before drawing a card. The card drawn belongs only to that tally sheet. Cards may not be switched between tally sheets.

- LAKE MITCHELL HOBO PARTICIPATION WAIVER, RELEASE, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
  
  In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Lake Mitchell HOBO event, I, on behalf of myself and those participants I am registering, agree as follows:
  
  Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that participation in the event involves operating and riding in watercraft on Lake Mitchell and includes inherent risks, including but not limited to: boating accidents, collisions, capsizing, drowning, exposure to weather, injuries from equipment or other participants, and risks created by the actions of other participants. I voluntarily assume all such risks, known and unknown.
  
  Compliance with Law: I agree that I and all participants I am registering will comply with all applicable Alabama boating laws and safety requirements, including life jacket requirements, vessel capacity limits, and laws prohibiting boating under the influence.
  
  Release and Hold Harmless: I, for myself, my heirs, and my assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree to hold harmless the Lake Mitchell HOBO Club, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, sponsors, and event organizers (the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or any participant I am registering while participating in the event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
  
  Authority to Sign for Others: I represent that I have authority to register the participants listed and that each participant has been informed of and accepts these terms.
  
  Photo Release: I grant the Lake Mitchell HOBO Club permission to use photographs and video from the event for promotional purposes.
