Identifying trees is a skill like any other, and in the modern era there is a multitude of tools that could help you identify a tree in question. In this workshop, PHA Curator & Assistant Director Emily Ellingson will walk participants through the characteristics to look for when identifying trees. Participants will learn to identify trees using the tried-and-true method of using a flora and dichotomous key, as well as learn how to ethically and responsibly use modern tools such as iNaturalist, photo searches, and more.
