Participant Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Kinship of Tomahawk Pickleball Tournament, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in a pickleball tournament involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, equipment failure, weather conditions, and potential injury or illness (including communicable diseases). I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks, both known and unknown, including claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the released parties.
2. Release of Liability: I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless: Kinship of Tomahawk, its board members, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and agents; from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the above-listed parties or otherwise.
3. Medical Treatment
I authorize Kinship of Tomahawk and its representatives to seek medical attention on my behalf in case of an emergency and agree to be responsible for any resulting costs.
4. Use of Likeness
I grant permission for Kinship of Tomahawk to use any photographs, videos, or likenesses of me taken during the event for promotional or fundraising purposes without compensation.
5. Compliance with Rules
I agree to abide by all tournament rules, regulations, and decisions made by event organizers and officials. I understand that failure to do so may result in my removal from the tournament without refund.
