By popular demand, we are bringing back our stroll through the historic heart of the Lower East Side. We'll see familiar places like the Jewish Daily Forward building and the Educational Alliance, but we'll also explore less well-known streets and sites as we look for reminders that this was once the most densely populated place on earth...EVER. We will also focus on the overlapping places where the Jewish, Chinese, and Puerto Rican immigrant populations have shared the same space over time.
The tour will cover a comfortable 1.5-2 miles in a two hours. The starting and ending points are still being decided upon, but both will be near public transportation.
The tour costs $30 per person (plus a $3 processing fee).
