Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration for inclusion in "The Enigmatic Cat". All mediums permissable, 2D or 3D with no size limitations as long as the artist can deliver the work through the front door. Previously shown 2D or 3D work is acceptable for this exhibit.  There are 2 catergories for submission, a juried catergory, and a non-juried category. Artists may choose to submit works in each category, but may only submit up to three pieces overall.

Non-juried entry fee: $15 per piece

Juried entry fee: $20 per piece

    Entry fees are non-refundable.

No entry fee for students, K-12 only, or for work by students done in classes with Gregory Grant. Student work will not be juried for placement awards and must be labled "student work".  Student work is eligible for the People's Choice Award, as long as there is no portion of it where the instructor has demonstrated on the piece.

One cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the Best of Show juried entry, with engraved awards for Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place irrespective of medium.  The public is invited to vote for their favorite for a special "People's Choice Award".

All juried work except "Student" work displayed MUST be for sale.  Students may CHOOSE whether to offer work for sale. Galerie Elan will retain a 15% commision on front gallery sales from member artists, and a 30% commission from non-member artists.  Please price your work with that in mind. To preserve the integrity of our curated exhibits, no work may be removed from the gallery until the show ends on May 30th at 9:00pm. The exception is when the buyer is from out of town and cannot return for pick up of purchased art. In this case, the artist will be notified and will agree to immediately replace the work with another of similar size and theme.  A proxy work by another artist will be installed in the space if the artist is unable to replace their sold work. "Sold" stickers will be used to indicate all other sales of work which will remain hanging for the duration of the exhibit.  Checks for sales proceeds are mailed by the end of the 2nd week of the following month after the exhibit has concluded.

Note:  member artists who breach the terms of contract with Galerie Elan will forfit any awards and sales proceeds may be withheld until the issue is resolved.

Works must be originals, and be the intellectual property of the artist. Images projected or traced from sources not generated by the artist will not be allowed. Work produced from commercial kits or moulds will not be permitted.  Fine art photography is allowed in the exhibit, as is digitally manipulated photos.  However, digitally manipulated photography must be labled as such so that there is no deceptive pretense to appear as an original painting.  Tasteful fine art nudes are acceptable if adhering to the theme of the exhibit; work which is overtly sexual, violent or political in nature will not be accepted.

2D work must be prepared for hanging on gallery walls with wire hangers only. Sawtooth hangers are not acceptable except on small pieces. If canvas works or wood-cradled panels are to be presented unframed, the edges must be painted or finished, and a wire hanger is required.  Entries delivered without proper wiring may be rejected by our Exhibition Committee.  3D work not suitable for hanging will be showcased on tables and/or gallery pedestals. Please affix a tag to the back or underside of the work with the following information:  Name, Title, Medium, Price.

Please fill out this form thorougly.  Entries may be disqualified for missing information.
