WV Molasses Festival Children's Pageant

Thank you so much for your interest in the WV Molasses Festival Children's Pageant! We are excited to welcome contestants from across the state and look forward to a wonderful event.

The pageant is open to female residents of West Virginia between the ages of 4 and 12. It will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Calhoun County Middle High School auditorium in Mt. Zion, WV. Registration will be from 9:00-9:45 AM with the pageant starting promptly at 10:00.

Attire will be a pageant gown for all age divisions. Gowns should be age appropriate.

The WV Molasses Festival will take place September 24–26, 2026, in Arnoldsburg, WV.

Please note that the contestants crowned as Little Miss, Junior Miss and Preteen Queen will not be required to sign a contract but will be required to participate in the WV Molasses Festival parade on Saturday September 26 and will only be permitted to wear their WV Molasses Festival sash in Calhoun County.

Phases of Competition

Gown- Contestants will model a pageant gown of their choice. You should make sure the color and fit is appropriate and brings out the best in your child.
Please note the attire for your child's age division.
Little Miss and Junior Miss contestants can wear a short/cocktail length, high-low, or full length gown.
Preteen contestants will wear a full length gown.

 

Age Divisions:
Little Miss 4-6 years
Junior Miss 7-9 years
PreTeen 10-12 years

 

Early bird entry fee is $50 for Little Miss and Junior Miss (before May 26th). After May 26th to June 1st the entry is $75. This includes optionals and photogenic. Extra photos may be entered for $5 per photo.

Early bird entry fee is $75 for Preteen (before May 26th). After May 26th to June 1st the entry fee is $100. This includes optionals and photogenic. Extra photos may be entered for $5 per photo. 

Entry fee is nonrefundable!! These go directly into awards and prizes!

 

Fan Favorite Award - This award has no impact on the final outcome of the pageant. This award goes to the contestant that receives the most votes ($1.00 per vote). This is an overall award for all divisions.

 

All contestants and parents shall refrain from bullying behaviors as this will not be tolerated.  If we are made aware of bullying behaviors at any time you will be asked to leave the pageant and no refund will be issued.    

 

Prize Package

The Little Miss, Junior Miss and Preteen Queens will receive a Crown, Custom Sash, Sash Pin, Flowers, Plaque, Crown Case, Embriodered Chair and more. 

 

Photos- Photogenic will be awarded in each division. This has no impact on the final outcome of the pageant. Photos can be emailed to molassesfestpageant@gmail.com the same day as the application!
Please also bring a printed 5x7 photo with you the day of the pageant for judging.

 

Early bird applications are due by May 26th at 10:00pm.
Final applications are due by 10:00pm on June 1, 2026 WITH PAYMENT AND PHOTO. No late entries will be accepted! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Early Bird Little Miss & Junior Miss $50 ($75 after May 26th)
Early Bird Preteen $75 ($100 after May 26th)
